We've got snow, it rained all morning then turned to sleet now it's like a blizzard, it is lying a bit but the roads are still clear, probably because they're wet. It's pretty cold too and I'm tempted to stick the heating on for an hour. :o

Yep we've got a few inches here, it's as bad as anything we had over winter. But it's April now!

I did give in and put the heating on for a few hours.

We are snowed in again!! But I am so pleased that I left the cling film secondary glazing up. The winds were trying to blow icy cold air in last night.

DH and next door neighbours dug the 1/4 mile track out by lunchtime. Not as bad as it has been some years but not our first being snowed in during April.

I watched Countrytracks weather forecast this monring and it is forecasting to turn very cold at the back end of next week, with snow coming down from the north. I am keeping an eye on this at the moment.

We had two bad weeks at the back end of January and then frst week of February. Thats about it - for me the big predicted bad winter never really materialised, but it has been such a boon not having to go out when I did not feel like it. The freezer was well stocked, and everything was pretty much done. The rain, frost, wind and at times snow does so much damage to your home that it is always best to be prepared. At the moment I am not inclined to give up my flannelette sheets as they are so blissfully wonderful but once the warmer weather looms into view I will go back to the ordinary cotton sheets and give the flannelettes a well earned rest until October.
