My Mum bought ours in THe Range, dont know how much they were though. Primark do have them but they didnt feel soft at all so we passed on those.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Hi folks
Just wondering if any of you prepared peeps can help. I am trying to get some flanalette sheets, on budget, and cant find any. Managed to get fitted sheets in Tesco but not the flat sheet.
Has anyone bought any recently that they can recommend. Its always a bit of a gamble on ebay if they are any good.
Many thanks to you all for a brill thread, still working my way through. Bought the cling film double glazing for the porch so need to get busy witht that.
Are you anywhere near a B & M's as they ahve sets in. Think they were £13 ish for a double sized set - think it was pillowcases, flat and fitted sheet.0 -
We dont have B&Ms but do have The range. Will check there tomorrow. Thanks.
When I put the flannel sheet on DS1 and 2 beds both said they wanted it to get really cold right now as their beds were really snuggly. I nearly had kittens:eek:, I am way behind everyone else on here and am not nearly ready for the cold.
They are 13 and 15 so any excuse to stay in bed:D0 -
OK its official - I am a Yankee convert - went to the garden centre today and lo and behold there they were. Currently sitting sniffing Winter Wonderland - its brilliant! Have rigged up a sort of burner using a tealight lantern and jar with silicone cupcake mould!!!
My brother lives just 5 minutes from the Yankee Candle Factory in Deerfield Massachusetts. I've been there many times. I'll take you when you come to visit me! I'm currently burning a Gingerbread jar candle from Yankee. Makes me want to bake!0 -

When I was a child (many years ago) I went to an open air school,it was for children who had been ill with chest infections or TB,we had a stove burning in the class room, windows were always open and we had blankets, after lunch we had to lie down for an hour on small camp beds wrapped in blankets similar to those in the picture! If it was dry outside we slept outside and if raining or snowing we stayed indoors but windows were usually open.:D0 -

I'm burning vanilla lime - nicebut I do fancy a Christmas smelling one. Does Gingerbread have a christmassy smell?
I do need to stock up on candles/tealights as I'm a candle cosiness freak and burn them willinilli because I like the feel. We live on a really steep hill and can be cut off at the drop of a hat. We've never had a power cut in the time that we have been here, but never say never!
Warmth wise the house is a lot better than last year but I sill would like some window film and a draught excluder for the front door.
So much for the prediction of snow in October, I've only seen frost here 1 morning. Any one get any snow yet?0 -
Blimey Shirley - its amazing they didnt kill you all. My mum wouldnt let me go to an open air school with my severe asthma because it was boarding - Im really glad now. How in heavens name did you keep warm??debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0
