It would make a point anyway.
Haven't had any reponses to my hand to hand combat invite - this is the sign of cowards....
Are you willing to travel to Germany as 1 and 1 are based in Germany0 -
for domains
use 123-reg or fasthosts for .uk domains and namecheap for all others
Don't use fashosts as it is the same company, United Internet.

I wouldn't say that's interesting................. just a bunch of numnuts who forgot to cancel their account then refusing to pay for the service provided.
I second namecheap.com above, it's so simple, you receive about a billion emails informing you the domain is due to expire, easy peasy.
and namcheaps support is available online (livechat) day or night if you have any problems and i have always had support tickets answered within an hour.0 -

i have used 1&1 in the past and they are rubbish, but i have had a fasthost domain account since 2000 when they set up ukreg and so far i have never had any problems, only drawback is their slow support.
1 and 1 are still run from Germany while fasthost is run in the UK these are subsidiaries of United Internet and are run as individual businesses0 -

I guess I am a numnut then bearing in mind 1&1 were accusing me of not cancelling my account. Only I had cancelled my account. But they have various clauses written in their terms somewhere that make it incredibly difficult to cancel. And when you do fomally cancel via letter (as in my case) they still send the debt collectors after you and claim that they have never been in receipt of the letter. So it's a scam.
The people in the thread, nor me are not numnuts and your post is derogatory and offensive.0 -

They said:At this point, we must inform you that this is our last correspondence regarding this matter. While we apologize if there is any dissatisfaction regarding the resolution found here, we consider this matter closed.
My reply:I also consider this matter closed. If I receive any more correspondence regarding this matter from 1&1, United Internet or any of their subsidiary companies I will consider it harassment and will take legal action accordingly.
Lets see what happens now0 -

you haven't even posted your experience in that thread
Bit of a turnoff when the first line is "I had a domain with 1&1 which I frgot about...........................". Like the people that cancel gym DDs then moan when they have to pay0 -
