Pink have a look at Mobilise's website :-
http://www.mobilise.info/
I know what you are saying, but I'm not sure if I agree with how you got the badge! You seem to be saying that if you feel you are entitled to one you should be given one. Its hard enough coping with one without giving the impression you just have to shout!! I hope thats not what you meant - maybe the way it came over??0 -

no sorry i wouldnt suggest shouting, you would probably get kicked out. i was ready for a nervous breakdown i think at that point as pregnant which didnt help and unable to move because of the pain , the docs attitude was ..your pregnant. she hadnt read my notes which i suggested she did, then she realised i really did have mobility issues!
i was told to apply by the health visitors and social services as well as dla yet my dods is so busy you never get to see the same one so they dont really know you so take a look at your face and judge on that without actually reading your notes.
in the ops case though they obiously know the lady in question so not much can be done if the doc keeps saying no***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0 -
Its a very old thread - I think it goes back 3 years?
You mentioned arthritis - did you get any help from ARC? The phoneline is very helpful (I've found). Doctors mmmm, my partners GP told him there was nothing wrong with his knee; we asked for a 2nd opinion & he had a new knee this year - waiting to get the other one replaced too. They are human too, but; I think as with the OP if they keep saying no - there may just be a reason? Okey dokey I'm whaffling so oft to get some lunch - Facebook has a group too for people with badges & sticks who think they get hassled! (I dont know how much good it does but good to vent sometimes)..0 -

Hi, don't know if your question was addressed or not but, my understanding is that you can apply to your council for a fee of £2. You fill out the form and they may send her to a physio for an independent check.0

Hi differentshades this thread is 5 years old! I just point that out since various things could have changed in that time. I know that different councils have different rules and it's worth checking your local council's websites for eligibility of blue badges.
DLA HRM automatically entitles a blue badge however in all councils.Just in case you were wondering (some have)..... I'm a woman!0 -
Just a suggestion but why not ask the Practise Nurse at the surgery to sign the application form for the Blue Badge?
Their signature is acceptable and if you went with your Mum you could help to get it signed.0 -
Hi Martin I sadly lost my hearing in my left middle ear due to a cyst
I'm getting the low rate mobility DLA and am trying to get a blue badge will I be instilled to this as I rely on an cross loop hearing aid.
I also still drive this is to why I'm asking many thanks.0 -

People with MS, ME, CFS, FMS PPS do go into remission and while they may for long periods be wheelchair bound at other times they are able to walk about relatively normally.
I would question how much you know about M.E if you think people go into remission. M.E is a fluctuating condition therefore you can never say how you are going to be one day until the next. I am moderate severely affected. I spend 90% of my time lying down in bed and I am in constant pain. If I do manage to walk that increases my pain to pain and stiffness. I have a "good day" like a "normal person" probably once every six months. I think you are either ignorant or very misguided. There is no such thing as remission in M.E. Once you have it, you have it, you just have a fluctuation in symptom severity and anyone who claims otherwise does not have neurological M.E.0
