Things are already clear.
If the report states what the post above suggests, then it is either written by idiots or swindlers.
Not necessarily. It may have been written by Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott's evil twin from a parallel universe who CAN change the laws of physics :rotfl:0 -
Or... Fischer have discovered the secret to over unity energy generation, and we're on the cusp of a technological revolution that equals the harnessing of fire in human development. The first step to a post scarcity society!
I wonder which one it will be.Ebe_Scrooge wrote: »Not necessarily. It may have been written by Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott's evil twin from a parallel universe who CAN change the laws of physics :rotfl:0 -
It would appear that 'Fake News' has spread to this side of the Atlantic.0

I think it is important to point out that on this particular subject(the rumoured BRE report) that neither Fischer or BRE have made any claims. So we should not criticise either organisation.
The nonsense has only been posted by netto in post #5010 -
I read it years ago, the Fischer Future Heat UK by BSRIA report, interesting that only two reports are on the BSRIA site neither of which are to do with storage radiators or any related Fischer Future Heat UK Storage heater product.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem. Those reports are not the one quoted by netto in post#501.
post#501 refers to BRE Watford and not BRSIA.
It also purports to compare the watts per hour required to heat a given size room(42m3) to 21C using electrical heaters from Fischer, Creda, Dimplex and gas.0 -
I'm guessing that if the BRE report actually exists and we get to read it in it's entirety, most sensible people on here would be very interested in it's contents and conclusions but still wouldn't touch a Fischer heater with a barge pole.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

No sensible organisation would even try.
Here's a test for you.
Identical room, external conditions simulate night and day.
Charge a Dimplex storage heater (any model) for 7 hours of the 'night' period. Similarly, run a German clay storage heater of any kind (wouldn't want to single out Fischer), for the same 7 hour 'night' period.
Check the room temperature at 3PM, and see which heater is still warm.
I think most here could tell you the result.0 -
