yes, why not start by using the little ones like 20p off just to get a feel for it, and build your way up, if they deny you a 20p coupon you know not to go to that SA with a bigger amount, we have all found young boys are the best as they are so laid back, I have a lovely middle aged lady I go to, she hasn't a care in the world but you will get used to soon who to miss and who to dart for at the tills, no matter the size of the queue :rotfl:0

I really am new to this lol!
Hi little laura, welcome to the wonderful world that is moneysaving! With regards to coupons check the daily newspaper thread on here and that will tell you what newspapers have got coupons them, a couple of weeks back there were loads like £4 off a certain book & £2.60 off Harpers mag etc. Also check the magazine thread on here, best mag usually has a few.
hopethis helps, happy couponing.:)The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.

Collect them all, and ask friends and family to give you theirs if they aren't going to use them.
The free paper often will come with loads of leaflets and these often have coupons amongst them.
At events you will often find manufacturers with a stall or van and they often have coupons, so be polite and cheeky (always with a smile) and ask for a few more.
And finally dont be embarassed, The best of us can save over £1000 using coupons, theres nothing to be embarassed about that. I would be proud.;)Amazon Sellers Club Member Number 52

Just a quick warning, you'll find this can become addictive. Before Christmas I was shopping every day. I had coupons that I had to use up before the end of December.
Everyones pressies came from Tesco's, and even worse some where r & r'd (how cheeky is that)

I'm up to about 9,000 points this quarter which is my best yet. I spend around £55 per week at Tescos, very rarely paying for delivery (unless I get 500 or 1000 points).
I did intend to calm down on it as at one point it was all I talked about - I bored my husband to death! It was taking over my life.
But you can't possibly do a shop without searching on every website for points codes.
I have a clubcard plus account, have never seen the H & B offers in my local store. Would it be of any use to me to open another account with Tesco? Would this mean I would technically have to do double the amount of shopping to get the points offers? I really don't think I could do any more shopping.
I only order wine because of the points - most of it went over Christmas. Have just ordered another lot because of the 1,500 points - will take months to get through it.
How do other people have so many points? Am I missing something?0 -
I have a Clubcard Plus (the green one) and Visa card. All my shopping is at Tesco's (unfortunately it is the only shop around here and it sucks). We have just converted a barn and the whole spend was transited through the Visa card.
My vouchers in the drawer are up to £608 (worth 2432 in deals) and I have 9709 due in the Feb mailing. Making a holiday budget of £2820 so far.
We went to St Lucia at Christmas (4 star all inclusive) for 2 weeks and flew Clubclass - all paid for by the deals. Saving now for Florida.0 -

I really don't know whether to save mine up for something major, like a trip to New York next year, or just use them for weekend breaks on top of our holidays ever year. I really am spoilt for choice.
At Easter we are using them for a 2 night stay at the 5* Marriott County Hall - it is costing an obscene (even with Clubcard vouchers) £500! But we would never ever spend that kind of money on a hotel so it will be great, as its all for free. Even managed to get a £50 voucher to use whilst we are there from the Citibank deal (spend £500 before 25/12/06 and get a £50 voucher of your choice).
I'll still be moaning about the price of everything when I'm there even though it is technically a freebie!! I'm never happy.
Going to use more vouchers whilst we are there for Tower of London, London Dungeon and Chez Gerrard in Covent Garden.
Although I have just looked on the XL.com website and could have got 4 flights for what I am spending on the above.
What does everyone else think - is it best to save for something major or use them for "treats" every 3 months?0
