Sorry for late replay, I am still reading what ppl have written.
After I received a COFP I wrote a letter saying that I would like to attend a course instead paying penalty charge n 3 points on my driving licence (A BIG MISTAKE! :(). After on 12th of September I received a letter from them saying that I am not longer entitle to attend a course, as it has already expired.

Did the letter of the 12th September mention anything about the offer of the fixed penalty ticket and when you needed to respond to that by?

On the letter from 12th of September says:

"You have therefore, received a Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty in place of the speed awareness course, which will enable you to have the matter dealt with without Court Proceedings.
If you still wish to accept the Fixed Penalty, you must do so forthwith, as the option will withdrawn once the information has been laid for proceedings to commence."

  • But I phoned the police 2 days ago and a woman said they can not do anything abt it, but I "cried" to her and she said that I have to write a letter to goSafe and then they can look at my case.
Have I messed it up? :(

Edit: Whoops, didn't notice the new page.. this reply is in response to the last post on the previous page.

No, as soon as it is a day or so before the 6 month cutoff, the offence will be sent to court anyway, even if there is time on the CO.

However if the CO is paid within the 28 day limit, they will probably cancel the court case.

Outside the 28 day limit... court time.

No, there is no date given.
  • Does anyone know how much could insurance go up to for 3 points in driving licence?

It won't make a lot of difference. It made no difference to my wife's policy when she got 3 points for speeding last year. But shop around the insurance companies and get plenty of quotes.

So maybe is better to pay £60 and 3 points instead of keep challenging it.
