I have a load of DVDs and a whole box of CDs courtesy of the band I used to manage and they can all go onto Music Magpie. I also have a ton of books but will find other ways of selling them.

You are doing so well and I am slightly envious (envious of receiving wages). The wind here is awful although it seems to have eased a bit this afternoon - I am not going out even though I need to go to the bank.

How was the wind at your place last night? My area was crazy bad. There were old christmas trees and rubbish all blowing down the street and all the windows were rattling. I half expected a cow to fly past like in that movie! :)

    "OMG! Trampoline!" :)

What is the etiquette of enquiring about bonuses?! Do you think if I stood on my desk and demanded to know whether I'm worth anything to them then they'd let me know? Heh I'm just kidding, I'm not holding out too much hope as last year they said the bonuses were really high and not to expect the same the next year. Unfortunately they run from August the previous year to July and as I'd started in June I only got one month's worth last December.

LG, how are you so lucky to ride horses for free? Do you teach at a centre or help out or something?

You can sell books on Amazon, you just enter the ISBN and it does the pictures for you. All you have to do is post it then.

LOL I you could try?!?! I think of a bonus as just that, a bonus and anything I get is great however lots of people here moan if they get less than previous year etc. If I were you id times what you got last year by 12 and expect around that minus a little?

I was very lucky, I ride military horses which require more exercise than the soldiers have time to give so there's a small group of us who go and help out

    Hi Guys!

Busy busy year end at work!!! We are working tomorrow but taking Sunday off, good job I love my job! Lol

So, here’s the next dilemma I need your advice on – actually I already know the answer I just need you all to tell me im right!

So my flatmate won a spa day at Pennyhill Park in her work xmas raffle and asked if I would like to go with her --- er YES PLEASE!

However, she got the details through yesterday and it only includes entry to the spa and nothing else. So while this still sounds like a nice day out I’m having second thoughts now. No treatment costs less than £90 and the menu there only has meals for over £20, factor in train tickets etc etc and actually this turns into an expensive day out which I can’t afford. She says she doesn’t mind not having a treatment and just hanging by the pool but who wants to go all the way to Surrey just to sit next to a fancy pool? I feel she’ll have a better time if she goes with someone a bit more frivolous with money as even if we just have lunch I still don’t want to spend that much money on a trip to Surrey to swim and eat an expensive lunch. Do I sound really ungrateful though at suggesting this? As Im really touched she asked me and it did sounds like a nice idea but that was when I thought it would include a nice treat too.

Thoughts? I might have a chat with her tonight about it, I just hope she doesn’t get offended as she can be sensitive.

My boss very kindly paid for us all to have lunch today which was very generous – too generous really. So I’m saving the £20 I would have spent today to save towards buying him a nice lunch back next month.

So today is a NSD J

Its a no brainer... I didn't even have to read past the opening sentence. Don't go. Don't worry about seeming ungrateful, it may be considered ungrateful to not go if it was free, but giving someone a gift that is going to end up costing them money is actually just poor taste. ;-)

Thank you, I do feel a lot better having you back me up so I know Im not being a b***h!! lol

The hotel who donated the gift weren't stupid were they? Give a "spa day" which will cost them zilch to let in 2 people to sit next to the pool then they have almost guaranteed revenue from lunch/treatments and whatever else you do there! How charitable is that?!
