Hi, glad you had a good time! And well done avoiding the sales.
We use AVG and I think it's pretty good... the basic freeby programmes seem to cover most of the potential nasties, though when they try to sell you the higher spec versions there's always a long list of horrible-sounding stuff that your 'not protected against'. Having said that, I think many of the nasties get in through certain sites that our net nanny-type programme keeps out.
Anyway, having spent the £24.99 hopefully you are well protected and won't have to shell out for expensive work caused by undesirables on the computer.Miggy

And what a milestone that update is! A mahoosive congratulations on reaching the 10% mark!
I work in IT and my opinion on AV software is that its only as good as the person operating the computer. If you click on something and approve its installation (even unknowingly), there's only so much AV can protect you. Can't afford a blooming mac!!!
Thanks, I'm not massively great with computers other than what I use regularly so I'll keep what I have and try and sell the extra 2 lisences!
Thanks TJ! Pretty pleased with that milestone! When the Post Office direct debit goes out it'll take me under £12k! Yay!Santander 0% £1,529.94

What I wouldn't give for a nice shiny new macbook. I'm afraid Macs are about as Un-MSE as they come!December 2005 TOTAL DEBT at its worst - [STRIKE]£20,596[/STRIKE]

So now, I have to give her £78.24 meaning Im definitley not making that card over payment or going to any lunch or anything. HMPH.
Tonight is definitley an ebay night!!!
Budget updated to include £25 put away for these bills each month for the future.
It would be AMAZING if that Post Office cashback of £50 from quidco came through this month but highly doubt it.
Boss put a lunch in my diary for his birthday on Friday, will see where they pick. So January is now looking just as bad as December. F.....iddlesticks!
Need to pick up prescription tomorrow so thats £9.70 gone too
Need to try and live off £80 the rest of the month, at least my freezer and food cupboard is full. As long as nothing else stupid comes up it should be OKSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hi LondonGirl
Back in October you said you were looking for cheap things to send to your friend in Afghan. You can find online sample pub quiz sheets and answer papers ... print off some of those and the troops can have a pub quiz night
Good luck on your debt free journey.

(Update: Just read further in to your diary and realise he is home now so this is irrelevant...)
