  • Hey LondonGirl - glad you had a good Christmas and you seem to have done pretty well on the MSE front too!

That is lovely about ArmyBoy being home early. My brother is in the army and I know what a relief it is to know he is back on home soil so I bet it was especially wonderful for you and his family. How long have you got with ArmyBoy before he returns?

I'm back at work today but things are fairly quiet - hoping it will be a good chance to catch up on all the work I have been putting off!

Good to see the percentage of debt repaid on your signature notching up another percentage.

Had a few too many whoopsies today @ Skegness/Boston charity shops

Was doing so well till I went in the hair shop (with loads of bargains) and spent £5 (just over )...then came back to Boston...thought will just have a wee wander round the charity shops and M*S as haven't been in them yet (apart from the cancer shop last Thursday) and spied the most gorgeous organizer bag.....barely used for £5 in 'Daddy's charity shop' (my late father who died of a particular condition) so nabbed it...(yes it's one of those leather patchwork thingies that were popular years ago but know that NO ONE back home will have one vaguely like it and it's not black (don't think I would have gotten it in if it were) and has 101 pockets:j)

So one or t'other will have to get sold on ebay end of January if not before....

Also Ma has given me 101 tea bags :T...yay...so am laden :D (what with that and all the shampoo off DS)....

Still to make sarnies and a flask of tea for the hike up north :)....Yay...

So total spent today (including Deo and Gravy Granules from Mr A cos I don't know when I will next get to Mr A with the weather forecast as is currently is) = £20  x 1000 - was only supposed to be £10 (if that)...

Still need to find the money for cab fare home tomorrow night :rotfl:...Just pray there's a bus :D.....

But then know the buses are squewed over the festive period so have zero idea...I might well end up walking  ...not exactly safe but needs must...

Ah yeah you know how it is then! Was so pleased when I knew he was back in the UK! He's with me for 4 days then goes back on the 12th so hopefully he'll be able to squeeze me in again before he goes but we'll see.

Ditto! I had a really productive day today, so nice with half the office away and not being disturbed!

Thanks :D That was the loan DD

Also to add to above. Mum gave me a box of things for home - wine, kitchen roll, tissues, loo roll, tins etc so nice and saved me a good £30 I reckon! Thanks Mum xx

  • Hi LG

Hope you had a lovely christmas. I am so sorry it has been so long since I last posted. Will be PMing you to explain.

I have just spent the last couple of hours catching up on your thread. Sorry to hear you had a cold but glad you are on the mend. Well it will be one more sleep when you read this. Hope you have a really good time with Army Boy.

I really need to get myself sorted again now after the christmas spending. Spent a bit too much on DD after the birthday fiasco. I felt so guilty not getting her a lot and didn't go too mad but she was made up which made me feel better.

Will also have to go and catch up on my diary too, I haven't been on here at all since my last post to you. Things are looking up now anyway and next year has got to be better than this.

    Speak to you soon.

  • Hi all,

Ended up falling asleep last night, so still got a few more diaries to catch up on!

    Hope all are well!!

Just been out for a wee shop at lunch! I paid in my uncles xmas money cheque of £70 then went to boots and treated myself to a Clinique skin consultation (free) then bought a new skin routine. Needed new face wash, moisturiser etc and as I struggle with my skin I wanted to get something I know will work. and she booked me in for a free check up in 2 weeks to make sure it is working. Also bought a face powder as I hate that foundation I bought a few weeks back. So that £40.19 of the £70 spent!

My boss cancelled his birthday lunch today as he was too busy so we'll go next week which means I may be able to put another tenner in the NSD pot on top of the £5 from yesterday. That £60 isn't looking too far off now!!

    ONE MORE SLEEP!!!!! :)

    Im so excited!!!!!!!!

  • Aside from spending my xmas money today was a NSD so that's a tenner in the pot!

  • Hi LG

Thanks for your PM. I'm guessing someone won't be able to sleep tonight!!!! Are you in work tomorrow? It's nice to treat yourself with Christmas money but I usually just end up putting it in my purse and it gets spent on shopping. This year I made sure it wouldn't happen and really thought about what I needed instead of just asking for money.

I hope you have a really lovely day/evening tomorrow with Army Boy. I'm going over to my diary now with a list of new year resolutions haha!!!!

    Take care.
