Hi!!
I'm back, I'm alive and I'm ready to deal with this debt BIG TIME!
Sorry I have been so quiet, thanks for all the messages its so nice to come back and hear from you all.
So, I guess you all want the gossip!!
Had a lovely few days with army boy, great to see him, we do get on well. Whether wedding bells are ringing I'm not so sure! We went out Friday night and Saturday night with my friends who all liked him and he got on with had lots of fun! Spent most of the days in bed sleeping off our hangovers and ended up shopping both days in the sales... for him... I managed to steer well away from girls sections and didn't spend in the sales.... go me!! First time EVER.... being hugely hungover helped towards this!
He left yesterday so he could see other friends in London, he's spending the rest of his break sorting out a mortgage and house for when he is back, one benefit of being away is that you don't spend anything! So I'll probably see him when he is back properly in Feb. We had a wee chat about "us" and we agreed we're not rushing into anything, he has an issue about the age gap and whilst I love spending time with him I'm just not sure about settling down seriously with him. So all good, I like we can be honest and look forward to seeing him back for good but don't go buying wedding hats yet girls!
So back to business.... how did I do whilst I've been AWOL? I'd give myself a 7/10, because it wasn't perfect but compared to last year it's a massive improvement!!
I spent all the NSD Potand due to the anti-virus software on my PC expiring I also spent £24.99 not budgeted. The most annoying thing was that after I mentioned this, my flatmate piped up she had just done the same and had free cover for 2 other PC's. Yeah, cheers.
I have just spent a bit of time updating my spreadsheet and the situation isn't bad at all. The reason I "allowed" myself to blow the NSD pot is that I know I'm working late nights and every weekend this month so I thought I'd give myself some leeway this weekend as I'm going to be working too hard to go out or do much the rest of the month.
All my direct debits are covered and accounted for so no serious problems there. I just need to re-assess the over payment on the credit card and that lunch I'm supposed to buy for my colleagues this week. Obviously over payment is my top priority but both my colleagues have bought a lunch so I do owe them one and I really don't mind paying my way but these lunches can come to a bit too much ££ and I don't want to look like I'm sponging off them!
Because I had to pay for the anti virus software I reduced my budget for daily £10's by two days and I also spent £20 in advance over the weekend. So the next two days are non-negotiable NSD's to catch up and the next 2 NSD's after that cover the anti virus software purchase. So, that gives me £180 for the next 22 days till payday £50 I already have in cash.
I really wanna make the card over payment and need 6 more NSD's to reach that, but I have earmarked 2 nice dresses and some trousers to go on ebay so I'm hoping that will bump it up too.
The work lunch, is looking un-affordable this month, I'm hoping that we're too busy to go but if they do suggest it I will just say I want to pay my way but Christmas was expensive etc etc can we pick a day for after payday for me to shout it. Then I can include it in next months budget OR I say this, suggest somewhere cheaper then make a smaller over payment and hope to bump it up with ebay. We will see.
I'm going to ride my fave horse tomorrow so an early night for me! Haven't been for ages so looking forward to it!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Hi! Have just been catching up with your diary - sounds like you're doing very well and have a plan! Just to say about the anti virus thing - you can sell it on eBay because you'll still have two licences left on your disk. I've doen that before and got quite a good price for it![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Also there are several free AV programs available such as AVG, or if you use Windows 7, Microsoft Security Essentials.
Sorry been AWOL for so long. Just got back from Paris where OH took me for the New Year. Only catching up on my reading now. Back to work tomorrow.... BOO!
So here's a belated Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to you my MSE friend. So glad you liked the curry. 'Tis a great recipe but not very good for the waistline with all that butter and double cream. Great for special occasions though.
