  • Well done for making your point LondonGirl. :T I know how hard it can be in that environment.

Kind and well meaning as your colleagues are though, they are a bit naughty for thinking the answer to the problem is just to sub you. :( Unfortunately debt busting (like weight loss :o) involves changing your habits and they probably can't see that. It's also not fair to make you feel obligated.

I'm sure you will cope fine - keep strong. Setting money aside for a Christmas social fund is a good idea. Mind you, will you need a summer one as well? Are you the Ascot type?

    Thanks :)

Yes they're really well meaning but you're right and that's what I find hard to explain, that next month and the month after it will be just as hard to pay them back so I don't want to be subbed at all, I dont want to have to pay anything back. If they knew the full story they might understand more, I think they think I'm stressing over nothing...

Thanks, yes definitely Ascot is my all time favourite races EVER! Maybe £15 a month into each as of Jan. I'm of the thought that 2012 will be another holiday-less year so a social fund will be a must :)

  • My flatmate has got her new man over, this is date 5 and she cooked for him said a quick hello and retreated to my room to leave them to it!

Im getting things ready for tomorrow, outfit to change into - skirt, boots, tights, top. And running kit for a lunchtime blast.

Does anyone watch Frozen Planet? Im obsessed, it's incredible!

  • Sorry, even if I could get hold of the remote when there is football on then nature programmes aren't really my thing.

Now a nice BBC2 documentary about the Stuart/Regency period would go down a teat!
  • Nope not my thing either, although all my friends seem to like it. I'm hooked on those Discovery Channel Air Crash Investigation episodes on YouTube at the moment.

I'm a big fan of Frozen Planet, too. :) The collapsing frozen waterfall was incredible!

I've also just watched 'Yellowstone' which was on at some daft midnight hour while I was at work but it was so good I'm re-watching on catch-up.

  • Frozen Planet is awesome! And did you see the making of it, when the killer whales started circling the camera crew's dinghy? Eek!
  • Mixed reviews on Frozen Planet! Im not always a big nature programme watcher myself but I've really gotten in this!

RR 15 - YES That was amazing, thats what got me hooked, the filming of it all is incredible.

So, todays the day of the meal, hoping I don't get too much pressure to stay out as I want to be able to slope off quietly without any fuss!
