One last post before bed!
Today my boss - J and colleague - S were discussing the upcoming parties this Thurs and next Mon so I took the opportunity to mention I'd miscalculated my finances and am actually on £40 to last the month (said a bit less for more impact) so just re-iterated that id be leaving after the meals and that I've been asked to ride too the next day so it all works out (two reasons - go me!) and they were so nice and offered to help me out, to which I thanked and declined and said I would be fine just would make me feel better if I knew I wouldnt spend anything on these nights out. J tried harder to persuade me round and its nice cos he said it wouldnt be the same without me and he wanted to help etc etc, anyway he got called into a meeting. Then S had a chat and said she could see I was stressed, she asked if I would feel better if they presurised me less to stay out. So I explained how Id love to stay out etc but I just need to get straight so yes it would, she was really sweet and said she would make sure they don't try and force me to carry on, on the night. And did offer to get me drinks the rest of the night but understood me needing to go home.
So feel a bit better about that now, it was nice how she just understood without me having to go into too much detail.
I am actually getting up to ride tomorrow, my fave horse has got bad legs so just needs a gentle walk for half an hour. Im going to stuff him full of carrots!
Night all, thanks for the encouragement xSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hi LG. Sorry its been a few days since I caught up with you. (Quite a few actually, since the dreaded sleepover lol). Had a few things going on which I might put on my diary (thanks for looking in) but just a few decisions that I need to make quick.
Glad you enjoyed your night out and also that colleagues are actually a bit more understanding. Expect a bit of pressure though when they have had a drink.
I'm still inspired by you to do much better but due to things that have happened the last couple of months I have been a bit short. Luckily my spreadsheet is looking good for next year and I am really going to try and stick to it.
I think we should start an I Love My Spreadsheet Group haha.
Luckily I have only got two nights out planned now up to christmas which are Friday and Sunday and then the next night will probably be New Years Eve. Hope yours all go to plan and you can stick to your budget. I only work for a small family company so christmas do is lunch out at a nice pub.
LG Step Away From The Credit Card haha. I have visions of you freezing it like in the film Shopaholic.
Taking up the studying now as well. Just got ICB membership going again and gutted that I have to re-sit my first exam again, something about it expiring. How can exams expire? You either pass or you dont! Arrrggghhh. Luckily company have offered to pay so thats good.
Anyway better get myself off to bed and will promise to catch up again with you before the weekend
Take care.

Hi London Girl. I've read your diary and it's really entertaining! I'm so impressed by the way you're budgeting, especially the thing with the tenner, I might try that! You have such nice colleagues too.0

What a nice boss & colleague!
I'm so lucky to work with them, they are awesome. Expecting a bit of pressure after a drink, but have plans to slope off and send a text when safely on the bus or tubeSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hey LondonGirl252,
Just catching up on your diary and boy you have been busy!
Your colleagues sound very considerate. It really helps when people understand doesn't it? I think peer pressure is a real challenge when it comes to sticking to a budget.
Hope you enjoyed your ride this morning. I was out too, although Mr Ned was not in the best of moods so spent most of the time trying to make him go forwards!
Keep up the good work - I'm sure things will get a bit easier once the party season is over.
