Yeah it's something to bare in mind for when you are debt free hun. I'm so looking forward to tithing when I'm debt free :j
Anyhow popped by the charity shop on the way to volunteering just now and like I found 3 blankets for my bed - one fleecy under blanket....one on the top and one of those wrap round things with arms and a pocket - for £2.50 :j
So chuffed...Yay..
And Mr. L only came to £7 including mackerel I just couldn't resist getting a huge tub of ham so well chuffed. Mr L cold meat is just simply the cheapest and best
So yeah...good day and now I'm @ volunteering so best go and do some work

Morning all!
Just got back from a nice long jog/walk around hampstead heath, my phone tells me I did 8.8km which I'm quite happy with! Lovely morning for it. Just having a spot of lunch before heading over to Twickenham. I need to put extra money on my oyster to get there which is a pain but necessary! Gonna put a fiver on it and then I'll have a tenner for something to drink whilst there. Planning just to head home after and watch a film.
Just looked in the freezer and I don't quite have enough meals in there to get me through the month. So tomorrow I'm going to make a batch of pea and ham soup and that'll do the trick - i LOVE pea and ham soup!! So tomorrow will be spendy which means another tenner off the budget but again, will just have to cut out something from a night out. Then I really need the NSD's to roll in, I cant afford to have any more spendies!!
Right signing off to get ready and head out to watch some rugger!!!
Have a good one all!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Ugh sickening!... just kidding, well done on being so virtuous! I was wrenched from my bed at the ungodly hour of 11am this morning as the mother-in-law is visiting. Criminal for a Saturday morning! Might have a small nap now I thinkDecember 2005 TOTAL DEBT at its worst - [STRIKE]£20,596[/STRIKE]

rofl @Turbo....
Tee hee..you call 11am ungodly on a Saturday. My Ma phones me every morning if I don't text her by 9.30am
One new year she was even worse than that and sent the police round cos I hadn't texted her by 8am...
Who needs enemies - we have elderly females tee hee
In fact who needs enemies - we just have siblings...I phoned PS (was DBS till today...now she's back to psycho status) and finally got hold of her (left various messages but she never phones me back or returns my texts ) and like asked her why she was so aggressive - was she stressed "Don't give me grief" "I only asked if you were stressed out about something?" "Well it's none of your business" - like PS I'll find out via Ma anyways so you might as well just come clean.... Simple..
How is she? "fine" how is work "fine" what you been upto " not a lot" I could practically have our 2 minute conversations with myself. Then she says she loves me :rotfl:.When you're so paranoid as to not give me your personal email, facebook details (never mind add me as friend) or even snail addy and you're my sister I conclude your so paranoid as not to love me. "No, I'm not scared of you E" - why cos you have so many barriers up to stop us having a sisterly relationship:rotfl:..
You have to laugh at her otherwise you'd bawl (and I do sometimes)...

Hi all,
Ran another 12k this morning, round Regents Park this time as the hills on the heath killed me yesterday! Walked home via Mr S, and got my ingredients for the pea and ham soup, used more nectar points and so only spent a fiver or so plus its delicious!
Watched Bad Teachers this afternoon with flatmate and had a good giggle at that!
Now about to settle down for sunday night TV, have a good one all.
Stressing about how to afford the nights out this week... a nasty cold would be timed quite well right now.... sigh.... the work ones will be most expensive but also the unavoidable ones... GAHSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hi LondonGirl,
I feel your worries. December is such a social one and it's not easy saying no. Just keep in mind how well you've done up to now and how resourceful you are too. Not many people would look in the freezer, feel there's not enough for the month and then create a plan of action to stay on track.
I must admit, I have actually been guilty of having a "sudden upset stomach" at expensive times to get out of the things it just wasn't possible to say no to. It saved their feelings and my stress levels so some good came out of my dishonesty.0 -

Hi Muffin,
Thanks, you're right. I have changed since this time last year. This year seems harder as I dont have credit to reply on. I would have gone to all these things and spent a fortune without thinking about it, so thats a positive.
Just finding it really stressful working out how to get through these work ones. My boss and colleague - who are really great fun and I love going out with them - have been chatting this morning about where to go dancing after the meals this week (team xmas dinner) and next week (company xmas party) so I just dropped in that I'd be getting the last tube home which was met by:
"no you can't" and "you have to stay out"
me :"sorry guys cant afford to get taxi home so I'll be getting the tube "
them: "nah its Ok, you'll be fine, you're staying out!"
WHY DON'T PEOPLE LISTEN WHY YOU SAY YOU CAN'T AFFORD SOMETHING?????
It's really getting to me now!! We've paid £25 upfront for the meal and boss is getting drinks bill which is really nice, so now Im feeling the guilt trip that they want me to stay out after the meal when I know it'd be much better to go home and Id feel much less stressed if they'd just accept thats what I'm going to do.
It's going to be the same issue next week at the company one and the week after at the department one.
It's annoying as I would totally pull the stomach bug trick but they're all following a day at work so I'd have to take the whole day off and I dont want to do that.
Once this year is over I'm putting £20 a month away into an xmas fund so next year is easier.
AND I still have 3 family members to buy xmas present for.
AND my flatmates decided last night on the weekend before xmas we should all have a meal (That I'll cook no doubt) and they want a turkey, veg, the works... ££££ sigh....
To top it all off, the girl who's crashing in our front room (friend of flatmate 1) has eaten my bread that was in the freezer, used my washing tabs and fabric softener and my expensive face wash which was a present from Mum. Ive taken the washing stuff and face stuff into my room but she's just helping herself to everything and doing my head in! FM1 said she's have a word as she regrets letting her stay now but she goes on Sunday anyway thank goodness.
I've given myself a headache now
GOD
Sorry for the ranting post today team, this is the first time since I started this diary that I've had thought of using a credit card again  I haven't and I won't but I'm really wound up by all this and it's annoying me that I've even thought that.Santander 0% £1,529.94
