  • Wow LG it has taken me three nights to read your diary. Was still reading at 2am this morning (yesterday morning) and nearly overslept. I am a long time lurker and I must say that your diary has given me more inspiration than I have ever had before to finally do something about my debts. I think it is about £8K and I have decided it has all got to go by next year. I have been keeping a spreadsheet for a while and carry it round on a USB so had to chuckle at your comments about that. Well I think the time has come to start my own diary and see if I can keep myself as motivated as you. I also work in accounts (what is it with us and our own money lol)! Hope you get the results you want for your exams as you have worked so hard. Have subscribed so will pop in again soon.

Oh, glad to hear you got together with soldier boy.

I know the feeling! You should start a diary of your own because it sounds like you have lots of interesting stories! :)

However, back to LondonGirl, glad to hear the exam went well - it certainly sounds positive. You worked so hard with your revision I'm sure it paid off. You are probably a bit squiffy on the vino now so enjoy it - you've earned it! x

PS... off to google CIMA - so many abbreviations in this thread I need to keep referring to google to keep up. hehe :)

    I agree!

Thanks very much, had a couple of glasses last night, enough to ease the stress but not hungover today thank god!!

I did that...I had a blog the works...but then I thought - I want to get a job..not have my business all over the net - though still have some of the handwritten journals from that few months of psychosis so keep saying 'one day I'll write an e-book'...

I also got cyber bullied on here a while back so am reluctant to even put progress on debt busting on my sig never mind keep a diary on here...

    However, the snowball really helps..

Spent 7 hours plus on the mac yesterday fixing it. My simple solution to all things PC....battle for one hour on x - then text the planet for prayer and you find it's fixed in the next 5 mins :A

Can't believe the sun is out.....I slept from like 8-11am today then went to the the drop in. Not going to volunteering as I have an urgent food shop to do :) (though the tatties/potatoes @ 39p for 2 lbs would have been nice)...

Photos gone (apart from what's on FB in low res and a few others) - so will have to get snapping for card making :D

Anyhow all my news. Glad the exam went well...Do you want me to google cheap rose petals for the soldier Girlie ;) tee hee

  • Hi all,

So todays ££ update! Payday on Friday so looking forward to posting monthly stats for November, cannot believe its December next week!!

Last night I went locally with some cash to buy dinner ingredients for tonight and then to go via the pub with my mates to ease of out exam mode! But when I got to the mini supermarket they only had the items I wanted In multipacks ie 3 bulbs of garlic not one etc so I gave up on the shopping and just drank instead! So in all I did spend over my £10 budget yesterday but I'll let let one slip.

It does mean that today can't be a NSD as i have to go to Mr S on the way home and get tonights dinner. Friend is bringing a bottle of wine so that'll be nice. So that leaves 6 days to get 4 NSD's if I want to hit the target I know one won't be a NSD as I have to buy sunday lunch for my friends, so I have wiggle room of one spendy day! eek!

Saturday is a quiet day so I'm going to do the food shopping that day and also some xmas shopping. My xmas budgeting is looking OK, Im hoping to save in some areas so I can add to the social fund as that is looking a bit weak.

It's going to be a challenge of a month but bring it on!

Sent my mobiles to Mazuma this morning so hopefully I'll have that £££ soon too and I'm still waiting for the Post Office to confirm my £50 cashback but that could take a few months!

That's the scam with those 'express/mini/local' supermarkets, they know that their customers are usually just buying to make one meal, so only stock multi-packs to make more money. They are usually in places people pass on their way home from work. Quite a clever business model on their part I guess.

Did you opt for the bank transfer or cheque? When I sold my last one I had the money in the account the day after I put it in the post - brilliant! Might be slightly longer for non-working handsets.

Yeah you're right! Well will go to big one on way home tonight and beat them at their own game!

Bank transfer, that'd be great if it was it's all going straight to the credit card as it might be the only over payment I can make this month with xmas and all..

My boss did just cancel a drinks night of ours so that's one less night to worry about!
