If you are comfortable doing so and want to protect the data on the usb key in case you lose it, look into something called TrueCrypt. Someone at work told me about it yesterday, I haven't looked into it myself yet but plan to. I'd hate to lose the key and have someone be able to see everything on there!

Tell me about it. I did the PRINCE2 project management course in August... yawn city.

 How could you sleep through that! Its my favourite as you know!

Thanks, will look into that! You're full of useful info, you!!!

I have just written about 4 pages on PRINCE2 ..... most dull thing on earth! PMBOK, Six Sigma, WBS all up there in dullsville!!!!!

I know!!! Mine too! I must have been knackered, I am a serial sleeper actually, if Im on the couch i'll be snoring in 5 seconds flat. I once fell asleep on a date in the cinema!

  • I am physically unable to lie on my side and watch TV without falling asleep within 3 minutes - often before the opening credits are finished! hehe. It drives OH mad :)

(I make sure I sit upright for Downton!)

I came top of the class for PRINCE2, I was very proud of myself. Mind you, there was only 5 of us in the class! :) There were riots outside my flat (literally right outside, I live in a high street) on the first night I was supposed to be studying so I didn't hold out much hope I'd even pass.

Anyway, sorry to go on about myself on your thread! I know that's not good etiquette :(

Wow well done! Even out of 5 I am impressed. Just did an exam Q on PRINCE2 and got most of the processes right just in the wrong order - well I think the answer was in the wrong order as it put planning second to last before closing the project!

I have filled in entire notebook in the last two days. My hand is rather tired and my finger where my pen rests is sore! Just 1/3 left of the syllabus to revise - Strategy then it's practice exams in exam conditions. 3 hours, no breaks, no books...

:D I'll let you off this time as it relates to me :D

Just wanted to say I'm well impressed with all this orderly studying! I am having one of those days when I start things and...? I did the laundry, started to peg it on the line and started watching a hedgehog. Nearly set fire to the ironing board in the process. :( What different lives we all lead. :D

Erme, if you haven't been into your ECDL for a while, it may have assumed you're not doing it any more and denied access? Or, of course, it could be having an off day. :D

LondonGirl, I'm very sorry to hear about your colleagues. What a shock for all concerned.

Och I think the whole server was reset beginning of the academic year or something? Emailed the techie guys - all sorted now...though it's blowing a gale and raining so me and my chum WON'T be going out to the free curry night (you guys all spend money to have fun. I don't :D. The joys of being UB40 - technically - and 'vulnerable' LOL...get to go to all the free events :))

So I just went grocery shopping (£10 spent) and like played with GIMP and I'm not studying tonight so like will do knitting and possibly housework to keep warm. And had a whole quiche about 3pm so not hungry :A (all 800 cals of it LOL)

  • NSD number 4 for me today! Not spending while studying ain't as hard as I thought!

Done well on revision today and got a bit ahead so tomorrow can go riding and not worry too much. Then in the evening its drinks at my flatmates work which she invited me too, free bar until 10pm should be fun!

Just got off skype to my friend in Afghan, technology is amazing! We have a voice and video conversation with no delay and perfect picture. Really nice to see him and cant wait for New Year when he's back on R and R (rest and relaxation break) and he's coming to stay. Then just 5 weeks until his tour is done :D

  • Followed your advice TJ and been onto Insure your Bubble, via quidco - so £9.50 cash back if I read it right - and I have insured the new phone and camera for £7.90 a month, I got 10% off for insuring two gadgets together. £7.90 a month is cheaper than £150 every 6 months at my current rate of getting through phones ;) haha

The post office claim for £50 has been recognised just waiting for it to be approved!

I cancelled riding tomorrow. I looked at my revision timetable and realistically I wouldn't sit down to work until 10 or 11 and that will put me back two chapters, so I text them and he was cool so I'm gonna work harder tomorrow then go Saturday if I'm still on track. He told me I owe them mcdonalds for cancelling! Cheeky get! I might budget it in though as they are good to me :)

  • Morning team!

Been up and revising for a while. Well, not up I'm in bed but surrounded by books! I find it easier to get started if I don't have to leave bed! Have completed 2.5 chapters already, just 4 more to go then I'll have covered the whole syllabus and it's onto exam question fun and games! Tomorrow I'll sit a full mock exam under exam conditions and hopefully identify areas of more revision. Revise and repeat. I've never managed to be this organised and disciplined with revision I think it's a knock on effect from getting organised in other areas of life ie money! If only I had taken all this on years ago. I'd be qualified and debt free! Ah well you live and learn hey and I still have scope to be both those things by 25. That's my aim!

Checked Quidco and my £9.50 from insurance is there. I recommended it to my flatmate after she was impressed at what it was. Not sure if she'll sign up though she's no where near a LBM.

Gorgeous day outside, hope I get time to squeeze in a little run!

I am going to ride tomorrow as they need help and its a later start so won't be as tired from getting up at 5, I'll only need to get up at 6:30. I have factored this into the revision time table so hopefully I'll be OK!

Right, back to the grind. One more chapter then pancakes for brekky!!!
