There's a lesson in that - you can afford to pay more off your debt than you already are!
Well done on the practice questions, your NSWE and all your debt reduction progress so far.
Sorry to hear about your mate. Fingers crossed for a good recovery. Made me shudder when I read about that

Thanks for thoughts about my friend, he is still being kept asleep to allow swelling on his brain to go down, I am hoping as hard as I can that when they wake him up he is OK, until then we don't know very much

Sending some healing vibes to your friend..I hope he recovers soon.
No spend weekends are ace - I spent nothing at the weekend, I have realised that I spend money on stuff that I think I need when in reality I don't need it or want it. Mind, that didnt stop me having a spending day today - buying essential food and postage for my ebay items.
Moneysaving can be great fun and there are loads of things that you can do for free or minimal cost. Must admit that I kind of miss my ex bf (not for his body either:rotfl:) because I used to visit London regularly and hop on a bus to the West End and mooch around the art galleries etc..I also miss the Godiva chocolate shop too because I used to buy choc covered strawberries in there (when he had given me pocket money to spend). Still, I have my Oyster card with money on it and I have 5 parking permits for his street (too sensible to hand them back as I have written my registration number on them:rotfl:).0 -

Yeah I am really am realising more and more each day how much I wasted, its unbelievable how I used to overspend by circa £300 each month (which went on credit) and this month I have paid off over £600! So where on earth did all that money go??? I'm not even missing my debit card not being in my purse!
HAHA!! You should use them up, I love spending time in London, even by myself I just wander round, get lost and usually stumble across something I never knew existed! Yes, that does sound sensible!!!
I managed to not spend anything today other than e-bay postage which I'm not counting as the buyer paid that and it was cheaper as the lovely man in the work post room gave me all the packaging free!Santander 0% £1,529.94

I forgot to tell you all the weird co-incidence with my poor friend...
As me and my colleague "L" were walking through the office discussing weekends she mentioned she'd been up till 4am chatting to her upset friend who'd witnessed a horrible accident and had tried to resuscitate a young man...
Yup... on my friend.
He'd witnessed the taxi come out of nowhere, fly round and hit him, failed to stop and dragged him a fair distance. Ambulance was called, as her friend tried to help mine the taxi driver tried to drive off :eek::mad:
My group of friends stopped him and took details etc
Her friend had been trying to find out how he was ever since as he was so concerned so I passed on the info and have let people know I'm in contact with him so he can be kept informed..
Couldn't believe it, what a small world...Santander 0% £1,529.94

Hi all,
Feeling horrible today, was up most of the night with stomach pains or headache or something or another so feeling a bit bleurgh and still nothing more positive to report on my friend, we are all staying hopeful.
Money wise - not spent a penny so far, could be a NSD but am supposed to go to a meeting tonight which could mean having to buy a drink or two - if i can get away with tap water I will, but its some members club so they can be a bit snotty about that.
Hope you're all having a good oneSantander 0% £1,529.94

Morning gang,
Yesterday was another NSD which makes 4 in a row! Score!! Still feeling rubbish and have no plans today other than work so hopefully today will be 5....
Friend is in same condition, they are going to reduce the sedative from Saturday to see how he reacts.... keeping everything crossed.
Plans for the weekend have changed, I know my Thorpe Park buddy will let me down so I'm going out with the boys instead in the evening, I have £30 saved from NSD's this week and should have a fair bit more by then so no reason why I can't let my hair down!
