Hi LG, I feel your pain - am in the same situation. We just need to bear in mind that it's not our fault that other people have let things slide in the past so nobody will blame us if our current work is up to our usual standard as a result. We're launching a new product at work - a huge product - launching a week Monday. Nobody did any preparation before I got my current job in January. That's two months to (a) learn a new role (b) do the extra work for a launch (c) continue to do some of the work from my old role because there's nobody else to do it (d) continue with the marketing of all other products and the company (e) do this entirely alone (!!)
I nearly cried at my desk today too. I just came home (as you did), tried to relax and now I'm thinking about it differently - one day at a time!6k in 2012: £4200.00/£6000.00

Hey Trixie,
Sorry you're going through it as well!!! That sounds really stressful too, best of luck for the product launch. You're right, one day at a time. Hoping I'm better to go in tomorrow so I can get a bunch of stuff done before next week.
Hope you're feeling better now and your week ends better tomorrowSantander 0% £1,529.94

Yeah glad you're feeling better LG. I got out for the grocery shop yesterday
..so was well chuffed though whether or not I'll make volunteering I don't know...
I still have the sore throat. It really hurts at times. I find plenty of fizzy vit c, paracetamol and like fluids is best for this sore throat (or should that be mugs of tea)
So yeah....tis me. Sun is out so if I don't volunteer might have a wee walk into town for wool and juice containers for the KC and like go from there...

Hey
Still in bed feeling rotten! I just did my online shop using the e-voucher from Mr S, tried to work it so the order and delivery came to £20 but they don't use the e voucher against delivery charge so I ended up adding more stuff - which I need anyway - and paying £8.30 but I'm due £9.86 from Quidco in the next payment run so that has it covered.
Rang Halifax this morning and reduced the balance on the credit card I have paid off from £4,600 to £500 the only reason I've kept it is so I can pay exam fees as and when I need to, they're expensive so I cant always afford to wait for expenses to pay me back.
The interest of £6.30 was added to the remaining credit card this week so i made an extra transfer of that much to keep it at a nice round £1,760
Going to get some fresh air this afternoon, my local library is closed for refurb so I'm going to jump on the bus to the next one, its not far and it a much bigger library so going to pick up a new readSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hey LondonGirl!
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you are feeling a bit better by the time the weekend comes round.
It is very difficult to balance work and study. From someone who has done this a couple of years ago, just make sure that you give your study enough time and don't get bogged down with work. Easy to say, I know, when you are trying to do your best at work but sometimes something has got to give.
Have you got anything nice planned for Sunday, after your college work on Saturday?
Well done on the MSE front - damage limitation always pays off when things get tough. Plus there is always next month to catch up again.
Take care and hope you are feeling better soon.

Well done on the debt busting.
Be kind to yourself and give yourself time - time to study, time to work and more importantly time for yourself.
I was just thinking about you actually, I was looking on the jobcentre website as you do and spotted a strange job title: PA/Groom/Rider - I did look despite my riding being a bit shonky and my groom skills not being up to scratch. It seems that a professional 3day eventer is looking for a PA to work in the office who must also be able to ride and act as a groom. Pay is not brilliant though at £15K and I am guessing that you would have to work jolly hard for that and work unsociable hours. I was thinking that you would like the riding bit of the job and I would like the PA bit:D0 -
I can't believe I've spent about £120 on goodies for the kenwood chef .....
And most of that was this week .....
Just transferred some money from easy access savings to current account so I can go buy some wool for my crochet....
On the positives...have reduced nic conc again (only 9 days though)...sure the nic thing is now psychological but still... Sure I could vape (e-cig) no nicotine and be satisfied LOL but after my falls with chemist NRT not willing to try it

Hi, did you manage to get to the library? I hope you found something nice to read.
Well done for sorting out the finances. You are definitely headed in the right direction!
If you and Horace end up with a job share we will expect a daily journal!Actually, am I the only one who thinks it odd that we can chat away on here yet if we passed in the street we wouldn't have a clue? I did think about you when I was stuck in the crowds outseide Buckingham Palace the other week, but I expect you were at your desk.
Get well soon.Miggy

Hey!
Thanks, feeling good just for sleeping the afternoon away actually, hope I wake up fresh for college tomorrow or I'll never concentrate!
Thanks, I will try it seems like I dont have much time to just relax and I think I get worn down quite easily so need to factor that in more often. The horse riding really relaxes me but the early start just knackers me more afterwards so need to watch how often I do that too
I have plans to meet a friend for a few quiet drinks on Sunday so really looking forward to that, might suggest a walk around the park as we're in the area
Thanks
Hope all well with you?

Thank you, I will try to balance it better, now my boss has told me to forget about keeping up with work I'll just have to let me know when Im behind and he can deal with it!
Ah cool!!! That would be ace!! I really wish I could afford to live in London and work with horses cos then I could be a groom where I ride but it wouldn't even pay the rent!!! Did it say which eventer?Santander 0% £1,529.94
