  • Would you believe it eh? I go out and buy 180 packets of smarties in readiness for halloween and the battery in the doorbell falls out on the night of halloween!!! I suppose I'm gonna have to eat them all now! Sighhhhhhh.
  • Off topic.... but Marks and Sparks Halloween costumes are double glitching again like last year. Just got 2 for £4.50 delivered to store to save £3.50 delivery.

Thank you so much, just ordered the Bat Witch and Devil Fairy costumes for a total of £5, I know it's a whole pound more expensive than in Mr T's but my dd is worth it :)

Oh my goodness there are loads of us local now :T. Don't get over to CD very often myself :(. I've not checked out the kids clothing at all because I'm being strong and not looking at things I don't need :A

I'm by CD with my work quite a bit so have to pop in to T's, well it would be rude not to - no self scanners there though :(

Annan and Lockerbie can be good at times - the extra at Carlisle (Rosehill) is rubbish for glitches or deals but that might change when it is revamped later in the month :)

You joking. Its been non stop from 4. I used 3 buckets of sweets and we are meant to be rural but parents seem to drive their kiddies from house to house. There are only 18 children in my boys class and thats 2 years mixed up. At least 12 came around tonight with big brpthers and sisters and even a dog in full costume!

lol at the dog being dressed up

sunshinestar101 ... do not stand for that treatment. If i were you i'd find out who your area maanger is and send him and the big cheese Phil an email and cc your store manager.

Word of advice... your sister is could be a Duke of Edinburgh leader or a girl guide leader... or Brother a scout leader. Not that it's any of their f*ing buisiness.

Fair enough they can ban you from their premesis but you can also get the police involved for discrimination and the last thing they want is an angry pregnant lady making a scene in the store....

okay i'm getting a little carried away.

Anyway good luck taking this forward and don't let them scare you into backing down.

:rotfl: we had a girl come round in a banana costume tonight. Get's my vote for orignality :rotfl:

Sunshine - that is appaling. I beleive that people have been known to use 'fake bump's' to hide goods in but that is really shocking how the security guard handled the situation and I would definitly be complaining to HO.

Why would sunshine be scanning for bargains if she was planning to pinch the flippin' stuff anyway..the man has no logic and even less 'peoples skills'. Another charm school dropout!

Sounds like every time someone gets a bargain, he feels like they are personally taking it from his wages (unless hes jealous of sunshines insider knowledge and is grumpy as he's missing all the bargains!):rotfl:

i dont know but possibly seasonal/stock eg christmas, easter, halloween and any other reason to sell something

Thanks for that. I hadn't realised that the answer was possibly in my own post:rotfl: First time I've noticed the other codes but to be honest I've never looked that closely at the Tesco clothes before. I just happened to be browsing the socks tonight after seeing so many posts and was intrigued. Fortunately didn't have any of the barcodes with me as I've got so many socks (bought for me as presents over the years) I really don't need any more:D

i would call cs 1st thing they are good on the phone. tell them what happened and try and get them to investigate the store security cameras, as you were devistated by what happened.

    OH MY GOODNESS!!!! IM FUMING!!!!!

Just popped into the Ts in question from my earlier post... needed some juice for the kids and wanted to see if i could get my hands on a few woopsies.....

Managed to get a couple of bunches of flowers, some salmon and some chicken.. so a happy bunny i was!!!...... I decided to just ignore te security guard that followed me around as usual, and took my time.... after all, im heavily pregnant, so cant exactly zoom around the shop...

anyway, DH then called and told me about the tens, so i went and scanned one... yep, came up at 75p... so i got 5... left plenty on the shelves..

made my way to the checkouts and went to a normal till operator.... just to confirm that i was all above board.....
went through the tills no problem..... it was on the way out that THIS conversation came about....

Security - 'Excuse me, can i stop you a sec please?'
Me - 'Yeah, course... whats the problem?'
Security - ' I was just wondering, why you have baught 5 tents?'
Me - '..... Because i like camping..... why??''
    Security - 'Just wondered'
Me - 'Oh, right, ok....., can i go now?'
    Security - 'Is that real?'
    Me - 'Is WHAT real?'

Security man then pointed to my bump......

Me - ' You mean my tummy??!!, is my bump real???'
Security - 'Yeah.. are you really pregnant?'
Me - 'Course i fu**ing am!!... are YOU for real??!!!'

I then lifted my top to show my tummy and told him that this wouldnt be the last of this..... called him a wierdo and i walked off!!!

    HOW BAD IS THAT!!!!!!

I know you're angry Sunshine but you really shouldn't be.
Lets face it he's quite obviously not quite the full shilling.

There is not one sane man on the whole of this planet who would talk this way to a heavily pregnant woman:eek::eek::eek::eek:
