Perhaps I'm just paranoid? On the (very)odd occasion that I've had large amounts of cash to pay for something(for no suspicious reasons I might add) I've had some strange reactions to people being presented with large bundles of cash.
We live in a credit card society and I personally never normally carry and more than a few pouns in change. Not saying that is right or wrong just the way it is:cool:Awaiting a new sig0 -
Big big thank you to Elsie. Got some pjs for hubby! :T:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Another quickie before I run out the door again...getting kids this time.
Tesco chocolatino white (sort of like magnum but tescos own version) SEL = 49p usually a pound odds and have a red sticker thing on the front 2 for £2 Barcode: 505230277001 might only be store specific though.
The same with the Tesco Cherrylicious sort of like magnum but tescos own version) SEL = 49p usually a pound odds and have a red sticker thing on the front 2 for £2 Barcode: 5052320276530I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -

Just back reading the posts now and would like to add my voice to Artha's.
Tesco DO trace your transactions through your debit card and clubcard.
I am not going into details but I can give my personal assurance that they certainly do still do it if they suspect you of playing the system.
I NEVER use anything that can be tracked anymore.
Don't be too relaxed about it. It ain't worth it just for a few clubcard points.
Looby, yes you can add your points on afterwards. It will not appear on the system that you have had an overcharge refunded.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

I used my credit card the other day for some wine and got DTD and again a few weeks ago for an item which went through too expensive resulting in a free electrical item. I'm not worried at all, I use my credit card all the time in tesco and to pay for my fuel regularly at tesco petrol stations. Do you really think anyone will care about two transactions where THEY messed up compared to the dozens each month where I pay tesco for my shopping and services?
Unless you are going into the same tesco day after day looking for DTD, then really this is a non issue and posts like this just scare people. Not having a go at you personally, but please can we stop this scare mongering.
I know it may sound a bit scare tactic like, but there are some staff out there who'll make it their personal mission to stop people 'like us'.
I had a member of management staff take my CC details (on only my 2nd DTD in that store, months apart). He circulated my description to all the local stores, I got an email from head office to say that my activities were being looked into. My online shopping account magically 'disappeared', and so did the other one a week later.
When I got it back, things mysteriously got messed about with on my online orders so they'd arrive at the wrong time, items missing etc.
All of this made me feel very worried and that particular individual clearly knew it!0 -
Afternoon all.
I read somewhere on here about the go cook knife sets going for £25 but had 342 stickers on the front but not kicking in! Well, I decided to give it a go @ Hengrove. Went to self scan just in case it didn't work so I could make an excuse and leave! Didn't kick in and paid £75 cash. Trotted off to CS, showed her the reciept and stickers. She went straight on the tannoy and put a call out for a member of P I
Thought she called a private investigator:eek: I was now shaking! But before anyone turned up She handed me £50 and apologised for the error and to have a nice day!!! Result!:D0 -

Most people should know this. They also give ALL your details to the Police if the Police are trying to trace you. As do Sky BSB and Paypoint. The simple answer is to not use your clubcard0
