CS chap rung up 1.98 and asked me to pop my card in, then I said, 'Shouldn't that be double for the two packs?' with a sweet smile. He quietly changed the amount, never said a thing! So got paid £2.96 to take them
In my store the DTD amount is automatically calculated by the CS desk till.Awaiting a new sig0 -

Awful CS lady tonight at my local.
Had my baby (nearly 1) and 10 year old with me, which distracted me from my coupon usage, I had picked up a few toys and forgot to use £5 off coupon, plus forgot to use cheese coupons. Went to CS lady and asked her if I could use the coupons, straight away she says oh no these are photocopies (cheese ones) I explained they were just printed of internet (black and white), she asks colleague and this lady says they are internet coupons..fine..oh this is the B1G2F cheeses aren't they? she asks me. I told her they were, so she only scans one and hands me 30p. I figured not worth arguing over 60p.
Then I had to tell her about my overcharge on Polly Pocket Boat, she looks at receipt and tries to tell me it went through at right price, as it was worded boat party she didn't realize at first, until I pointed it out. Gave me dtd, seemed very miserable about it. Then I told her about the £5 coupon..I told her that my baby was upset at the checkouts which is why I had forgotten to use all the coupons. She then asked me where is my baby now then? as if I was making it up...I told her my baby is in the car with my OH, which she was. She then got out her calculator to add up the amounts on the receipt to check I had spent over £50 on toys and electricals. I said to her, check the big amounts, it was quite clear... £24 toy, £7.97 puzzle, £9.97 moshi monster and 2 Irons at £5 each, plus other small things that added up to nearly £10. She just seemed to be so finicky about everything and took ages, then she kind of sighed as if to say I give in and gave me the fiver. I even proved that I now had 2 of these vouchers as obviously I had just got one from shopping.
Lastly I asked her to put some points on my clubcard, as the checkout staff never ask me if I have my clubcard, which is so annoying, it is hard to remember everything, especially with my 10 year old with me, she's worse than the little one. I had a few receipts to do, she said I can only do 2, which I knew, so I said ok. The receipts are all genuine shops (not wombles) sometimes the cs staff will kindly add it up and put it all on. She then wrote my clubcard number down on a piece of paper before adding the points, sure they don't do this normally.
Sorry for long post, thinking of emailing tomorrow as I am upset by her attitude. Told my OH about it when I got back to the car, he said I should have asked for manager. Maybe she was upset about dtd, i used to worry about using my clubcard when getting dtd, but it is their policy and I haven't done it excessively. They should get the prices right. Sorry ranting now...better get to bed, I will feel better in the morning and don't know whether to send email or not.
Goodnight all and good luck with bargain hunts tomorrow x x0 -
Completely agree with forgetting to scan clubcard! It's on my car keys and two kids, bag, purse, shopping, if I'm not prompted I forget then get to the door to leave and feel like a tool turn round to customer services with the kids screaming.. Sigh...(/(/

I travel nearly 25 miles to tesco... so when I go I tend to spend a good few hours there, having coffee, lunch etc etc etc..
Anyway, I too spend my money there!!!
I got a letter today with times and dates that I have gone over the 3 hour maximum parking in the carpark.. I was sooooooooo p*ss*d off. I phone CS, only to be told that its not their responsibility that the carpark has nothing to do with them.. So I pointed out to him, that I didnt care who was responsible for the car park because at the end of the day, MY money goes into Tesco's pocket regardless..
I can honestly say, hand on heart, I have never parked in Tesco carpark and walked into town.. If my cars in Tesco, then so am I..
Anyway the letter states my car number plate, dates and times of both times Ive gone over the 3 hour time scale, the letter states "Unfortunatly should it happen again it may result in you receiving a parking charge notice"...:mad::mad::mad::mad:
I said he would contact HO... but is it worth me contacting our dear Phillip myself, as I went to another Tesco last monday, and it was 50 miles from home, so I had coffee and lunch there too, and Im just about sure Ive gone over the 3 hr limit...
I would do nothing.
By replying to the carparking company you are just letting them know that you have taken notice of the letter and that they could intimidate you later.
Remember, if they do send you a Penalty Notice in the future (not a parking ticket) you don't have to pay it. There are a number of threads over on the motoring board about penalty notices and how they are unenforceable, so try not to worry.

This should give you an idea, and I'd post the specifics of your letter over there for advice on what to do should you receive a letter asking you to pay.
It's only a game

Morning all.
I have been good again. I have only bought 4 pints milk from
Ts yesterday. Rubbish shopping trip. Only bargain to be seen was a box of nutcrackers, 12p each. As I already have a pair I didn't bother. There was a plastic box on the clearance shelf of various packs of 3 pens. They are the kind that if you use friction over a spelling error, it removes it. Thought it could be useful so had it price checked. Actually there were 3 different types so I had them ALL pricechecked as there were no displayed prices.
They were £7 each  the shop assistant looked genuinely horrified as did I.
They are only cheap plastic things. How on earth could someone justify that cost?!
Saying that, there was a guy in front if me who had a tiny hand basket of toiletries inc 3 glade fresh thingies. (I only pay attention now in case someone is a friend of martins and I have missed something!). His basket came to over £44! He didn't flinch either! Just happily paid. I would have been in need of rescucitation.
Tesco can afford to reduce stock at silly prices to shift it when the are recouping profits on that kind of level on other stock!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Morning all, lovely sunny day here, so sitting working in the office with the doors open, blissful.
I got the same letter a while back about the parking, it's really just a warning and to be honest I just laughed as it wasnt my local and it just proves I really do spend too much time in there. Mine was from Elstr~e T's. I'd rather a warning than a ticket!
The solar dinner sets are £2.80, I got one for my DS for uni next year but they seem to be few and far between.Found mine with the normal dinner sets.
Happy hunting everyone;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
