I DO cook a lot with prunes! :p

Not very keen on them on their own but they are a fab for cooking... :T

In couple of weeks when it's cold and rainy outside I'll post a fab recipe for those with a slow cooker(a biggish saucepan or stockpot will do too) ;) A very yummy Eastern European dish perfect for winter! watch this space!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Please do, it sounds good. They are forecasting snow  in a couple of weeks, so it may be time to try it.
  • Hi Guys,

Just after some advise please (I have posted on other thread as well)

So I bought a phone with OOD SEL for my mum, used my clubcard and receipt was marked. Now my mum doesn't want it. I have phoned CS and they said I can return using credit card statement and clubcard so they can trace. My question is, if they trace, will they also see that I had DTD and refuse a refund?????

Any help will be great as the phone was £100 and I could do with that to cover petrol for the electrical ''bargins'' that I can NEVER seem to find :(!!!!

I will! :D But I'm warning you it takes 2-3 hours to prepare and then about 5-6 in the slow cooker! :D

Go for it... Just don't take the marked receipt to show them!

I did that once... I called HO in the morning to ask if I can return it and they said yes, it doesn't matter what's written on the receipt... So I took it to a different store and it was a nightmare... they called the other store to see what happened there and when they found out I got dtd already they were only willing to refund me the price that was on the ood sel
I went for it in the end because I was having extra cash anyway but if I had to do it again I'd just take the bank statement and pretend I know nothing!

A while ago (on the closed thread) I posted about Tesco cooking bacon being a good deal and got this reply from Squigs:

"I have been using this bacon for quite a while now.
Some of the packs have some very thick slices in which are great done in the oven as bacon chops, but are best soaked in cold water for a while to get rid of some of the saltiness.
Down side is, these packs were only 75p a week ago and then jumped in price to £1.:("

Squigs will be pleased to know that as part of the Big Price Drop, this bacon is now back down to 75p a pack. Cynical about tesco ramping up prices to bring them back down....Me?

Is that the Tesco value bacon? if not what's cooking bacon?

I bought a pack of T Value bacon the other day and it was £1.44 yet two days earlier I paid 75p.
  • Napolia tomatoes chopped and plum at my local, £2.45 bogof. Obviously an error but didn't stop me getting a trolley full and dtd back from cs. Is stores specific as my other local had them correctly labelled at £4.45 bogof. Hope you find some.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
