  • Yes it holds all the information u need to query the arrears etc... I hope you get it sorted, I could be wrong but theres definately something amiss with what he has told you all the best!
  • Reading this thread, I think there are a couple of things I can help with, to the original poster plus some other queries.

OP - your partner needs to find out what the current assessment is based on - are the wages used accurate? Have the CSA reduced the amount that your partner is paying due to the 2 children you have living with the two of you? At the beginning of the case the CSA would have tried ringing him at least 3 times, and then issued out paperwork to what they considered as a confident address - can your partner prove that he wasn't at the address they issued the paperwork to? If he can, when was he first aware of the case? If he had a spell of not working, was he on the dole at the time? If he was, the CSA will be able to backdate their assessment so he only has to pay £5 per week for that period, you don't need to provide evidence of this, you just need to give them the approx dates, they can access Government systems and see when he was on prescribed benefit themselves.

With regards to the query about the MEF - if the NRP doesn't respond to the enquiry form, the CSA can legally presume paternity, and the case would continue, so the NRP doesn't have to have filled in a form to start the case off.
