  • Update here too - also sent an LBA letter to EON CEO Office. Been told the payment amount has now been processed, calculated and sent to my bank. :) No ex-gratia or interest added, though  - but result nonetheless. I'll call off the dogs once the money clears.

So it looks like this an effective route to success too. Shame that you have to threaten them with legal action to get performance though, and there's a fair chance I'll be taking my business elsewhere at some point after this, but I suspect from their previous inaction, they probably don't care.

Update payment cleared today - issue (finally) closed.

Having had my first FiT payment after 35 days (submitted 22nd Feb, received 28th March 2012) I'm still waiting for the 2nd.

We sent the figures in by e-mail on 22nd May and have still had nothing.

Over the weekend I sent a couple of messages to E.ON via Facebook & Twitter to highlight the delay & they both replied by 9am on Monday. I send them my FiT number by private message and they said they had switched me over to the automatic system and that I'd be paid the 2nd FiT amount (>£500) within 2 weeks. That isn't great but I think I'd probably have been waiting longer if I hadn't got in touch that way.

Give it a go - they don't like the public humiliation that negative FB and Twitter comments can generate.

I have today received 3 letters from E.ON concerning FIT payments. First one inexplicably showing (identical) reading on 31 March twice and no payment due, the next showing the reading between 1 February to 31 March at the old rates and amount of generation payment, and the 3rd the readings between 1 April and 1 May under the new rates. Note saying that payment will be made within the next 11 working days.
I have also received 3 letters today, in 3 separate envelopes - looks like a computers 'glitch' :D
One shows identical reading on 31 March twice and no payment due, the next showing the reading between previous reading in February to 31 March at the old rates and amount of generation payment, and the 3rd the readings between 1 April and end of last quarter in May, under the new rates.

    Money went in yesterday :)

I suspect the separate statements is because the units up to and including 31st March earn slightly less than those from 1st April onwards (due to inflationary increase). Of course if they were competent they could format that all onto one statement, but apparently they aren't so it looks like they have to generate one statement for each rate, plus the anomalous zero statement on the 31st March.

1, Rang Eon today, explaining that my FIT payment had not gone in after 50 days. Nice lady apologised and offered me £10.00 for the inconvenience.

2, On checking my FIT payment statements regarding readings, I noticed that they had entered a reading of 506 kWh up to Mar 31st and 496 kWh from April 1st to May 15th.
After checking my own figures up until Mar 31st I found, I had only made 458 kWh, with 544 kWh produced from April 1st(still with me!!!)
This meant that because of the rate change, I had lost out on 48 x 2.1p = £1.00 roughly. After explaining this several times, she agreed that I was right and would take this from my next bill. I do not know for sure, but if Eon have say, 250,000 customers with solar panels it would obviously equate to £250,000 going somewhere other than to us. In the April period when the FIT rate changes I will send 2 readings (1 up to Mar 31st and 1 from April 1st)

3,Wow! made 21 kWh today(gonna need it because tomorrow's forecast is dire)

3,1 FITs payment has just gone in!

You're correct about 2 of the statements.
Last year I got 2 statements, one up to 31st March (prev rate) the other from 1st April (new rate), in the same envelope. I expected to get 2 statements again for this quarter this year.

This year, however, it's 3 statements, including the pointless one for zero units and zero pence, in 3 separate envelopes! :(

2nd payment now received from British Gas in under 30 days. New statement format is now very readable and explains the different rates from 31 March.
