British Gas can pay direct via BACS now.I’ve swapped over and it’s so much quicker than waiting for a cheque. 😀PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0

After not receiving my quarter Nov-Jan payment and today being the start of a new quarter.... I had to spend 20 mins on a call to SSE. Seemingly the email that I submitted photos on had not been processed. Apparently I've now been placed on a priority list for payment.

I have not received my fit payment from 2 months ago yet. When I emailed them they said that they would cancel the cheque as I had not received it and send the money straight to my bank account. 2 weeks later they send me an email saying they are not set up to do this yet.
No other explanation, no mention of the money they owe me. Just they can't do it.
I've tried phoning them but I don't want to waste my whole day waiting for them to pick up the phone. Wasted 3 hours the other day!

Statement finally received today covering Nov-Jan, Feb-Apr. Hopefully payment will follow soon.Central Beds, 2.02kWp (9 x 225W) south facing with some morning shade, installed 2011 (£7.16/Wp). Finally got through to SSE on the phone after a half hour wait. Lady explained to me about photographic proof of meter readings. I sent proof to email address she provided and received a confirmation email. This was a month ago and still waiting for payment since last October. What other recourse do we have. After the collapse of Bristol Energy I am now with British Gas for my gas and electric. Would it be better to shift my FIT account over to them and if so how do I go about that?.

The one thing that bugs me about British Gas is that every year their system for guestimating the generation up to the 1st of April [price adjustment day] robbs me of something between £5 & £10. One year I challenged them and eventually they paid using my actual figure for the end of the fiscal year. BUT they know that it really isn't worth the effort to challenge their system.Any user freindly organisation would allow the user to submit a reading on 1sr of April. [A simple digital photo, as we were advised to do during the energy increase charges, could be demanded for back-up after all it is not worth becoming a criminal for £5 - £10; but taking such a sum from their 1,000s of suppliers, does make a difference to the British Gas bottom line..0

I just put the reading in at the end of March and they pay it from the reading submitted.
When first had fit start it was out of sync with yearly change of tariff, so just kept submitting so the became synced only took three quarters to achieve this. will submit next one end of this month.1 -
