WM been in overdrive today load 4 is on the line and as it's towels it can stay out till the morning.

BM on second load a concoction requested by No2S of cinnamon and banana chips

OH jsut told me his work area is changing again so just as I get used to him being away all week (cheaper food bill and tidier house) he announces he will be home every night again.

I can't remember who started the talk about bowel cancer screening but it is a national scheme rolled out to over 60's only.

Manic evening ahead, DD is expecting 2 new foster children imminently, brother & sister, 6 & 7 arriving as usual with nothing but what they are dressed in. I've phoned round my friends & they are digging out clothes & toys suitable for the agegroup. DD is rushing round Tesco buying toothbrushes & nightwear.
    Candygirl, I'll keep everything crossed
    Hugs Hester

    Good afternoon all,

I've been missing for a few days, but had an exciting day yesterday as our beautiful DGD was born:j:j ,and we seem to have been rushing about ever since :D They are due home from hospital shortly so DS2 & I will pop over.Baby's Mum has been absolutely fine-chatting away with DS, and us ,so thankful about that,as he was worried after she's been so cool towards him.She was 7lb3oz and they have both taken to breastfeeding well.DGD has so many clothes she'll need to be changed about 6 times a day to get use out of them:)

:T:beer: Yay, congratulations to you all, does she have a name yet ??
    Enjoy her xx

Candy  :rotfl: I'm sorry, but your immac incident made me laugh, hope its a bit better now, good job your OH is away atm :D

  • Hi everyone! Candy - I caught a very hungover friend 2 seconds away from brushing her teeth with immac once..! RosyRed - congratulations!! enjoy being a grandparent :) Hester - your daughter sounds like a star and a credit to this society!! Hope everyone is ok.. ive been a bit poorly past couple of days basically having probems with my contraceptive implant, wont go into details on here but have to be tested for anemia ect, and have some tablets which are helping alot, only taken one and im feeling a little better already. Im off work now till tuesday (only work 2 days a week mon and tue as i have a 2yo, and im on hol that needed using up mon) and hubby is off tomorow so no worries :) Had some good news money wise today as my household has been selected to have a tv monitor fitted, to show a important research group what people watch on tv, we get paid about £200 a year in vouchers which i will be saving towards christmas :) havent put up my meal plan this week as sent hubby to aldi and he mostly got straight from freezer to oven stuff, he did keep in budget though so I guess i cant complain, and its been abit of a blessing with me being poorly! Will be doing a proper meal plan ready for friday though :) Happy OSing everyone!xx

    Hello all,

Have been a bit 'hit and miss' for the last week or so, very tired and worried that the first cousin of ME that I had 5 years ago is coming back, to be honest, my get up and go has never been the same although not really sure that there isn't some laziness mixed in there as well...or is that just my Irish guilt coming into play??

Has been very windy here all day, got 2 loads on line, have taken some in but left the towels out as they will be softer for a good blow through the night....if they don't end up in next county!

Had a lovely weekend in Cork with DD1, DS1, DDIL1 and DGD2, their new house is lovely, very rural, still lots of things to be done but they will get there....very organised both of them. DGD painted my nails with some 'lovely' red glittery stuff so I am beautiful, also picked some blackberries and made some blackberry and apple jam....rained on Sunday so I missed out on picking some of the tons of sloes....will have to make another trip soon, we are planning on going for DS1's 40th in November but may go before then to get the sloes....best I have seen in years.

We had steak, turnip and potatoes for dinner to-day, made a microwave choc pudding for afters, must make some crumble or tarts with stones of apples....am drying some but they seem to be taking over my life as they do every year. Want to take some rose cuttings and collect and sow some seeds soon...when did the hours in the day shrink to 16??

RosyRed, congratulations on grand-daughter, hope things go smoothly with her parents, they can get on and be good parents, have seen that with DD4 and DGS2's dad over the last 9 years....there have been hiccups but mainly they are friends now.

Hester...sorry to hear that you are not well, please take it easy if you can.

Ruby...how is your mother managing now, may have missed something, but seems that your dad is going to be in full-time care?

Beth....hope that the medication works quickly....I had to have that cocktail of meds about 15 years ago and have had little trouble since.

Candy...sorry to hear of your problem, positive vibes for DDs BF.

We are now at the end of my memory, so will send hugs and positive vibes to all, sleep well and stay safe.
