So in reality what is their purpose here?

Attempting to put some kind of positive spin on their company, I guess. Good luck on that one.

Or is it just the case of ATOS paying someone to surf MSE. Nice work if you can get it.

Pretty much. The Italian establishment apparently used to (don't know if they still do) keep a book entitled 'Threats to the Nation'. Sounds like a similar set-up here.

A risk assessment, some people just shouldn't have the internet.

And some companies just shouldn't be trading.

The benefit of their experience springs to mind.

Would that be experience in shifty, evasive, transparent dishonesty? After all, what else are Atoss as well-known for?

Which reminds me, what is your experience of the assessments?

Already outlined that one several times over. By the way, you haven't - so, what's yours?

One thing is for certain - we won't get anything valuable or compromising.

Evasiveness and failure to account for ridiculous decisions we'll get in spades - their usual pattern.

Im not so sure, they seem to be, in my opinion, slipping up in spades recently, perhaps they will mess up futher and admit something they should not.

Well, we live in hope. Maybe the DWP will eventually tire of brushing Atoss' s**t under the carpet for them.

Its possible they already are tired.

After all, G4S got the contract to do the trials for pip - not atos, odd considering atos is the DWP's medical services.

  • Hi everyone

We look at company permission requests on an individual basis but tend to give it where a company can answer questions that will benefit a large group of people and not just the person who's asked the question eg BT, TalkTalk etc.

In this case after discussing it on the Team we felt so many forum users raise questions on a regular basis that there could be a benefit.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

I think everyone has a right to post in MSE (thats what makes MSE an open forum), we may or may not agree with what they say, but that is no reason to demand they don't say it.

Of past many members have posted question or answers to problems, many people have posted as representatives of a company and declared themselves just as openly. We are not in a position to make demands on who says what and where, just as nobody is in a position to demand we do likewise.

Everyone is entitled to have a say, as well as defend their own name. This being the case (as it always has been with an open forum), its wiser to accept or reject given advice, have a say on it, use it to an advantage or ignore it completely.

Other than deleting abusive posts, or locking threads for getting out of hand, there is little more MSE can do but remain neutral.

So just to confirm, your stating ATOS sought out permission to post - ie contacted MSE and asked for permission to put a rep on the forum.

And its all been confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt they are who they say they are (ie checked with ATOS that its not someone spoofing etc?)

    Just need to make sure..
