To some extent it depends how fast you drive it. You ideally need to find info about your cars most economical cruising speed. My old ZX came with a sheet from Citroen and 56mph was the optimum speed for which it would return over 60mpg. It used to nearly get that in real world driving too. You can use around 30% more fuel by blasting all the way there at 90mph but it does depend on the car.0

The wifes 2.5 turbo diesel gets around 33 MPG all day and all night so that would be about £15-£16.
Everyones cars different, but theres a ball park figure to get you started.0 -
thats great so your saying it will cost to do around £16 each way?

As silk says, thats a total. The wifes cars a little over 2 ton in weight as well. Yours may be more efficient.0

Can you give us a clue about the car?
2.5 td engines are found in Shoguns which could give 25mpg to Audi A4's which could give 50 mpg, is it a car you own or looking to buy, manual/auto gearbox? whats your driving style, gentle/fast/hard?I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
