Hi again, well, it did it again, closed down when I was in mid of something, so it has not resolved.0

Can you remember what it was in the middle of doing, and how many things it was doing, such as streaming a video or radio
When you start the PC and it has been running for a minute, if you right click the task bar and then click task manager, processes, in the bottom left, how many processes are there?0 -

last time it closed down I was on face book, then another time was just about to check my emails, it seems to happen on anything, I notice if I leave it for a while and then go back on it, it does it.0 -

There is an update checker, which you can uninstall after it has run a check, it will look for flash player updates and for a few other things if installed

there is also a portable version, no install needed and very handy tool......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

and it said when I went to update, on the updates it had found, this type of file can harm your pc, I dont know if its cause its picking up something it dont know though.0 -
Was that for all of the updates?
Was there one for flash listed?

Most browsers warn you before downloading any executable files - Is this google chrome?0 -
I had a similar problem and after endless investigations, it turned out to be an error in the hard drive.
i fixed this on my xp as follows;
go to Start>>>RUN
Type cmd and hit enter
a black window will appear (Dos prompt), then type;
CHKDSK/F
wait till it completes the scan and it will fix any errors and it should resolve the problem.
hope it helps0
