Bought around 2002, I did send message already but its gone, maybe it will turn up later. One of those days I think, got a headache today to.

Compaq Pressario make, XP installed, 1GB plus the 256MB, as before it only had the 256 but pc shop did it for me. couple years ago. Installed more memory.

when I went to that site and went to download my virus thingy saw it as a threat.

what is your antivirus? what did it claim was a threat, the download itself or what?

first is Yes, that site and 2nd cant quite remember now, just saw as threat.

Do you have the Recovery Discs for your machine?

Sometimes a clean install can work wonders.

If not, I want to check that your Motherboard is the original.

Will send you some software to check.

Last time pc was fixed when it was sick was last year. I dont want to do clean install as I will lose stuff and it takes to long. Last time it went wrong I got the pc man at the shop to copy over it so I would not lose everything, it was in there a week sick. My Dad had a pace maker operation in a day and was out quicker then my pc.

I dont know if my motherboard is original, I dont mess about with things inside as I dont know enough to take that chance.

But it has not had any more crashes though and I did do a clean up with scanners, so maybe its ok now, I say maybe as not sure.
