    Bloody hell,

You bought off your daughter? Meaning by my rough guestimates, you must be at least 40 years old. Probably 50 plus.

    Surprised me.

Just one look at your posting history suggests you not only went on to create yet another new thread with another HPC link in it, but you also have all these:

    This:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3497997

    And this:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3498495

    And this:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3453667

    And this one:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3462451

    And this:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3454709

    And yet another:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3446101

That's just from the first page. That excludes this thread and the extra thread you promptly furnished us with after this.

    Seriously, you are 40/50+?

Yes, mid 50s and just retired. Make any difference?

Please don't annoy him because he might not tell us the secret of eternal youth.

Thought you were in your 20's/30's with the venom you have against that age group...and, well, the style of your obsessive posting.

The "ha, you have been thanked by rewired...nullifies your point....I'm sure you will be happy though", dragging up threads from over 20 months ago to show that jonny had posted a link to a BBC article because he suggested your obsession with posting HPC links was tiring us all.... and such like just gave me the impression you were a lot younger than you are. Assumed you were another Hamish type, with handouts from the parents getting them a property and then simply saying it really isn't a problem.

The way you thanked posts suggesting my concern about my son was a false concern, and then to find out you'd do exactly the same for your daugther....I dunno....your age just surprised me.

You were working not the long ago weren't you pimp.

Don't you remember. Your employer let you view internet forums but apparently didn't let you respond to them.

Tough economy though. Sorry to hear about your job.

No problem geneer (although you might have missed the words "just" and "retired" in there).

Incidentally as I am a bit bored at home (been home for about four months now) I am thinking of becoming a mortgage adviser. Looked at the CeMAP qualification and it looks like you can get it for less than £500.

    Completely understand your confusion.

Fact is that I happened upon the HPC website a few years ago and thought "I think I'll post an alternative view". Turns out that they were quite wrong and that my "soft landing" theory was closer to the truth (10% down between my joining and now). As it happens I have owned since 1981 and have done okay out of HPI as will anyone who buys now and still owns in 30 years time.

Now when I look back I quite like to refresh their Armageddon posts (or the ones which insist they were right) just so that if anyone is tempted to post them again they are tempered with a little realism for Newbies.

Not sure about the story about your son but if you do what I did then you will finance his entry into the market when you feel able - gift them their inheritance early.
