not really, it says on the advert MAY be interveiwed under caution. MAY get a criminalrecord. People who are doing this could just go "no comment" and that would be that would'nt it?

I dont like how easy it is to play the system but gave up worrying about it ages ago. i find it funny(not funny but ya know) that polish people can claim jobseekers! what can i do? nothing except make sure i vote right in may.

OP i'd take the police's advice and send the boys round your ex's. i'll do it for half

sorry but where did you get this picture. ??? Makes me laugh everytime I see one of your posts........

Trust me they are doing this full time.Making around £500 each per week.Rent nicely paid on top.
Any suggestions any government dept that will actually bother to go out and investigate?
I intend taking photos everyday to send to press taxman and town hall.
If they see me they will hide vehicle as have done before tbh time is off the essence.

you know this for sure? ie by socialising with him and him telling you or hired investigator? or assuming simply that he must be earning this kind of wage.

You have reported him but simply going all out for 6 years seems over the top better to forget him and let it be and dont get yourself stressed over it. If he is done for benefit fraud the first thing that will happen is his benefits will stop and the amount you could get for child maintenance will likely be pittance anyway and reduced of any income related benefits you get now it likely wouldnt increase your income.

So what is there to prevent malicious repeat allegations? (i am not suggesting there is in OP's case).

I myself have been reported now on 4 occasions. I KNOW who is reporting me and i know from the very specific details given that it is the same person reporting me each time. I know who is reporting me because part of the allegation includes information that only myself, my partner and one other person has access to (and it isn't information that could be guessed). However this information does not contradict my right to benefits but the complete *&^% that keeps reporting me thinks it does and therefore always adds it to the allegation although the main part fo the allegation is slightly different each time.

Each time I have had the upsetting letter about a "compliance officer coming round" or a fully-fledged "fraud officer". Each time I have been able to prove beyond a doubt that the imformation is completely and wholly incorrect but as the info is slightly different each time, they keep investigating me. At each visit I have stated who i believe has reported me and gave reasons as to why they are behaving maliciously. However the reports are always made to the national helpline and made anonymously.

Is there nothing I can do to stop this? I know i have done nothing wrong and i know i have nothing to hide but it *is* upsetting being accused of things despite being cleared once the visits take place.

I have not done anything wrong and nothing ever comes of these investigations. I live in fear of these visits because they do worry me because just being accused of fraud is upsetting.

I look forward to the day the anonymous reporter drops down dead - hopefully after a long and painful death![/QUO

If your doing nothing wrong you have nothing to hide.
If someone accused me of cheating benefit(they wont and I dont)
I would welcome the inspectors with open arms.
Anyone fiddling any benefit should lose there entitlement to everything and be left to rot.I include health care in that.
BENEFIT CHEATS ARE PARASITIC SCUM.ALL OF THEM.

I think people who make reports should also only be protected if the complaint is upheld, if it isnt upheld then they should be told the results of the report ie. claimant found to be within the law and if they then keep doing repeat reports have to pay a fine since they are wasting the fraud teams resources on repeat investigations and causing stress to the claimant, many claimants especially ones on IB may go over the edge due to the stress involved in been investigated and having paymnts suspended. Its too easy to assume everyone claiming benefits is having a life of luxury and defrauding the taxpayer, I hate these tv programs like on the fiddle that have targeted IB which happens to have a very low fraud rate as well as been one of the hardest benefits to claim in the world.

I too have tried to report ex in the past but have now given up, i have never had a penny off him in 10 years and he has worked cash in hand all this time, i even found a website he set up showing pictures of him working ( hes a dj!!) and stating the hours he works and where! I gave this information to csa, and fraud line and 10 years later still working in same club and csa telling me i dont get anything as he isnt working!!
Iv been in the club myself and seen him working!!His website is still up and running!
I have decided not to bother any more, i dont need this mans money, my kids are happy and want for not alot, have a loving step dad.
But it does make me mad:mad: when i see the adverts saying report a cheat as it obviously doesnt work all the time no matter how much evidence you give them.

    I agree.
Some people have an axe to grind.

People who cause others unnecessary trouble soon change their tunes when the tables are reversed.

I agree i have just been through the anguish of being questioned by a fraud officer, because of an ex partner, who has (to me ) commited fraud twice. Once he printed his own Lloyds Tsb statements for his divorce case and presented them in court, then recieved an amount of compensation for an industrial accident (£80,000) and never declared it, so in my eyes court was lied to Dss was lied to, so as Lloyds Tsb bank.... He could get a job on jackanory he is so good at stories. I think someone needs to look at his history.

things are not always black and white I have to go to an interview under caution through being reported as having ex hubby livving with me. If only we could all see in everyone elses life and not always asume the worst of everyone. I would love the dipsticks who think they know what goes on in my house to live one month of my life. They would be in a mental hospital I guarantee, Quick explanation ex for 9 years no contact for long time until I start to understand all his mad and unreasonable behavior due to serious diagnossed deppression. The only thing he wants is familly (not me) just closeness to kids I have spent six years finding ways to help him feel secure and important in familly, stopped 15 suicide attempts from hanging to gassing himself in car. Write him off How many times have I heard that he is and always will be my childrens dad and if all it takes to help is to let him come to mine put the children to bed. Be there Christmas and birthdays Halloween Bonfire night what right do I have to refuse Im the childrens mum not God. He does not stay but he does spend time there we have become very good friends. People sometimes make judgements without facts. I look and feel guilty for not hating my ex I spent years feeling like that. If these people have really looked at facts they would see Yes on many occasions when he has an episode he pitches tents on the shed roof to be close to lauren. Has slept many times on the doorstep. Im being punished because the system has failed him. After many overdoses what do they do (why have you run out of tablets) I took them all!!! here you go have a prescription. Sorry to rant but I have spent a long time realising everything is not always as you think
