To update the story of this thread, 3G on both networks have now been amalgamated. Whether you can connect to them or not or substain useful bandwidth is perhaps for another thread.0

A few days ago I got a message from Orange saying that faster mobile broadband was now available to me and that I only had to turn my phone off and on to enjoy the quicker speed. Did that and found it made no difference whatsoever.:mad:0

I'm finding the speed of Orange 3G has continued to improve significantly since December. Using Speedtest.net on my iPhone, my record so far for downstream is 6264kbps (today) and for upstream is 2404kbps. This is what I call an acceptable service. Well done Orange for finally getting there.0
