  • You missed that stop. Everyone is doing it apart from the UK who just passes money on to whoever pays it back in small brown envelopes

So far I've seen very little in the way of major import tariffs & quotas and the likes of large subsidies or tax cuts to business with direct state intervention. However, I expect we will quite soon.

US are calling for europe to stop the politics and just get on with the action that needs to take place.

Which is amusing, considering they are wrangled in politics themselves.

    Absolutely.
I realise a lot of it was brinkmanship but they were hours from defaulting only weeks ago. Cheeky chuffs.
  • Surely it better to put your hand in at the bottom when all the !!!! is falling rather than buy when you get the nudge from vested interests touting prospects around the corner of the back of beyond.

rock bottom are the paid workers that earn "too much" for benefits but get it all taxed away.
So where does that put public sector pensioners who get too much for benefits but get it all taxed away?

  • I see the news highlighted the stockmarket stabilising and showing slight rises this morning.

However they are now down a further 1% and are under the magical 5000 mark.

It is seriously looking like now that the markets have no faith in any actions carried out to solve this looming debt crisis.

    Has there been any?

All actions so far have been more debt, more magical money and extending the pain.
  • FTSE currently down 1.7%.
