I'm going to keep buying on a monthly basis. This will allow me, at some point in the distant future, to proclaim that I got in at the bottom of the market.
Of course I'll be skint but I'm hoping that my financial Guru status will allow me to sell several self-help books or at least get on celebrity big brother.0 -
Ah, but prices falling is good news, read it on here so must be true.;)
Depends on whether you are buying or selling...
For many of us a falling FTSE is a good thing. My pension contributions will buy more shares.
Longer term rising will be a good thing for me.
All depends on whether you are buying or selling....0 -
I've literally just seen an in-house IFA about changing the split on my pension (25% on commercial property since 2006 - oops) and am keeping 35% of my contributions to UK equity. Does anyone have any idea if I should change my mind a tad and give more international exposure (I'm moving 15% from property into global equities as it stands)?0

Depends on your attitude to risk, I have some of one of my pension funds sat in Japan on the basis that they gotta improve one day... right?0 -

Fuel certainly hasn't though, infact it went up a penny overnight at the garage I pass every day. £140.9 a litre again for diesel now.
Only dropped around 2p even though a barrel of oil dropped around $20.
Of course when it went up that $20, prices increased by around 8p.0 -
