Fingers crossed the treatment worked Flutterby xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Have you seen the price of scrap metal? You are not "on the scrap heap" - you are "precious metal!" and don't you forget it. Gentle hug to everyone feeling low, ill, fed up and worried.
Managed to rouse myself to clean the ensuite, take clean laundry upstairs and have a beef curry simmering on the hob for tonight.
Browsing on here to cheer myself up as I had an infuriating trip to York city centre yesterday. Went from one store to another to try to find ready made thermal curtain linings - the response I got to what I thought was a reasonable question, you would think I wanted something lethal, immoral, illegal etc. Got home with a headache , sore feet and shattered but no shopping!!!! GrHH!
Finally did a search online last night and found something at Dunelm Mill so might get DH to drive me there at the weekend.
Going to stir the curry and use up sponge mix in cupboard to make a cake.

((((HUGS)))) CG I too am having an "Is this all there is to life?" day; I last worked in November 1999, which is when I was first signed off sick, remained on sick leave til the Civil Service finally chucked me out on medical retirement two years later; health continues to deteriorate, and the last visit to the consultant I was told to go away and "just cope". I have no clue how to "just cope" though.:( It's horrible to think I was on the scrap-heap by the time I was 40.:("You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Feel much better now after my napAnd had a burst of OSness, cleaned the whole kitchen - wiped surfaces, unloaded and reloaded DW, washed up non DW stuff, emptied and cleaned bin, cleaned cooker, cleaned fridge, hoovered, cleaned floor, cleaned MW, loaded WM, then tidied and hoovered the lounge part  :rotfl:.
I'm starving now though, can't decide whether to have stirfry or pasta.

hi to everyone,
im totally new to this thread. so hope theres room for one more.
not a normal day in my household today as i had one off sick. my youngest was poorly last night being sick etc so he had today off. hes going back tomorrow as he is fine now. had a less than productive day. couldnt go to work so tomorrow i will have loads to do at work and im working in the evening as well in my second job so work will be busy tomorrow. at home today all i did was cleaned the bathroom and the downstairs toilet and some general tidying. now i feel slow and sluggish and have a real sore throat. i think i need normality to keep me going.
just had a yummy tea of toad in the hole and veg with onion gravy. i menu plan and watch what i spend on food. if only i watched what i spent on other things. i really am not good in that way.:(
now have the jobs to do that seem to take me forever, get the little one bathed - hes 7 but still needs steering in the right direction. pack bags and football stuff for tomorrow and get him into bed, that all sounds nothing but it takes me ages!! right - ill go now with the hope that im back by 8.
wish me luck!!0
