Morning all,
Get well soon Hester.
Really tired this morning as I didn't get back from my friends house until nearly midnight and then up at 6!
Had a lovely time though, it was great to catch up and the food was lovely.
Tea tonight is fish but not sure what to do with it yet.
Hugs to all that need them.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning everyone
Feeling better vibes sent to all those feeling poorly/under the weather x
Received sad news about a colleague yesterday afternoon, she hadn't been well and was in hospital but passed away yesterday, feel so sad, as I was working with her until 3 weeks ago. Thinking of her husband and family x:(
Sun trying to break through broken cloud here this morning, have put a load on the line as no rain forecast, another load finished in the WM waiting for to be put on line. DH gone off with the caravan last night, so dinners were a bit late but everyone got fed and sorted. Will be going off to the caravan when the boys come out of school tomorrow afternoon, after we've eaten will take them to DH's aunt's who's looking after them until Sunday.
DS1's eye has now developed into a bit of a bruise. DS2's fruit salad was delicious and still have some left so dessert sorted for today too.
Have the normal round of housework, washing, drying and ironing etc to do today. Have to take DS2 to his annual hospital appointment, not very happy as always book it for during the summer holidays, then got a letter to say it had been cancelled and re-booked for today, rang and tried to get another appointment in the holidays or the last couple of weeks of school (due to fact they were not actually doing much work) and couldn't get anything, so he has to go in school time, didn't want him to miss any school as he's just gone up to senior school, grrr!!:mad:
Have to menu plan and do a shopping list so we can eat next week, hopefully it won't be such a busy week.
Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

Morning to those who came before or will come after!
Oh, it's *cold* in Glasgow this morning. We've no frost but it's that kind of morning - cold and clear. I've slept in so am trying to gather myself to get caught up. I was going to go to Mass this morning but I think that will have to slide as it's nearly 8am already and I've not even had my first cup of coffee!
The plan for today involves doing the FlyLady list from the thread on this board, sorting out some appointments and then knitting. It's possible that it will be an NSD - haven't had one of those for a while :S. I did a top-up shop yesterday as M&D took me to the supermarket (my car's off the road at the moment) so I think I've got all the bits I need.
Cold! Cold! Cold! The heating's going on for about 45 mins in the evening at the moment so I've a warm bedroom and bathroom when it's time for shower and bed. I've got the heavier duvet on the bed now but still need the electric blanket so I'll be adding a blanket to the top of the bed tonight. Am loathe to have the heating on any more but worry about running the fires even though I did so last year and ended up in credit with both gas and electricity.
Onwards and upwards!Household: Laura + William-cat

Morning all hope all those that dont feel so well feel better soon (hugs)
Busy day for me today just stopped for a coffee - slow cookers on with chicken casserole in it, washers on so that load can go out before school. Have to go to my mums further in the village after the school run, Got to nip and pay bills and nip round the co-op before heading to mums to help her clean my littlest sisters room she just gone off to uni this year and its time to clear up the bomb thats exploded in her room so that when she comes homes she can mess it up all over again.
Huge hugs to all that need/want them.Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Good Morning x
It's a down in the dumps day today:(
Trouble with eldest son again and my funding for the op has not be agreed yet and has been sent to some other higher authority. I am waiting with baited breath for them to play God with my life. To have my health picked at and debated over yet again. Am I a worthy case for the taxpayers money? Sorry for my miserable take on life today...I am looking for the positives but it is hard today!
Ok a quiet day is in order as I am tired and have overdone it. My cleaner is hopefully coming today but I also think I need to look at that again as she is becoming very unreliable. I will also take youngest son's passport for check and send as it has run out. So a plan is forming.
Really sorry for my miserable post xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
big hugs ((Molly)) I hope you feel better and things settle down soon xxx

Morning everyone...
Hope you don't mind me joining in... I feel it will keep me motivated between now and Christmas to sort my house and finances out!
I was up at 5 this morning, not a good idea when I didn't manage to get into bed till gone midnight  I soooo know I am gonna regret that one come the middle of the day!
Anyway..
Today I plan to continue with the declutter of my house, managed to get the bathroom, the airing cupboard, DS's room & our bedroom done the other day, so just the spare room to do then it will just be the downstairs to tackle.
Want to finish filling in my household Manuel I made the other day so I can start keeping on top of everything.
Also got menu plans to write and a winter to get list...
All the above should keep me busy for the day!
DW is on, WM will soon be following it, DS is fed, washed and dressed ready for school, just got to get myself ready then off on the school run I go.
Hope everyone has a good day... xOctober grocery Challenge

Morning all
hugs to everyone that needs them x Have to admit, put my heating on for 15 mins to warm the house up this morning, I have a 2 year old so slightly more lenient with it than I would be if it was just me and hubby. Leftover tuna and anchovy pasta for me for dinner. Hubby gets his at work. Im looking after my nephew today from 10-4.30 (also 2) and hes a very fussy eater so the boys will have toast with something for the dinner! Theres only a small portion of pasta anyway, Mine might have abit though
For tea is homemade soup using food processor we got for our wedding in june and havent used yet, a complete new for me! Im doing Sweet potato and carrot with a dash of cream, any tips to make it extra tasty? Still looking for ideas to use up prawn crackers if anyone has any.. And also wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction to a approved foods tips for beginners thread if there is one? thanks for helping a newbie! Fran x

Thought I had better say hello and goodbye IYKWIM
Off for a shower and then the hairdressers (to hide my sparklies) and then off down to London. DS wants some more help with the floor and hopefully get it sanded this weekend. Then Saturday evening down to the Tunnel, staying the night at Calais (no cheap Premier Inns/Travellodge around London or the Tunnel for Saturday night), and then off to Spain, to hopefully find some warmth & sun.
Certain now feeling the nip in the air "up norf" not surprised the northerly ones put heating on. I resisted until we get back, but it was darn cold last night.
Not sure when I will have the time to post again before Tuesday, hence my original comment.
Jackie-0 - Sticky milk sarnies, oooh well it is still very popular in Spain served in some restaurants in coffee with a special name I cannot remember as I try to avoid it. They sell it in tubes too still out here. Someone gave me a partial one once, when they were going back home. It even taste good on Crispbreads (I couldn't resist a taste) even now. Hope your arm is easier soon.
((((hugs)))) all around - Better go and get myself going. Take care all. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0
