Julie - I change between the two every year, as their loyalty discounts are shockingly bad!
I'm back at uni today for the 2nd year of my PGCE. Looking forward to seeing everyone, not looking forward to all the work though. We are shorter hours this year 3-6.30pm.
OS wise - WM will go on later when I get in, dinner will be LO cheese pie and beans, have HM celery soup for lunch.
Have a good day all

Well it had to happen. My GUAG has GUA went. DH didn't make it home last night again. He phoned 0730 so I got up. Still sitting here doing nothing and with no inclination to do anything. Its pouring with rain so really don't want to walk hound. I'll give it an hour. If it hasn't stopped by then I'm just going to have to get wet.
Need to do some flying and paid work today but just can't be a**ed. TV been on for the first time in the morning for almost 2 weeks. Really annoyed at myself.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -

Morning everyone, hope you're enjoying the grey skies and rain :rotfl: It's my day off but couldn't lie in, OH is still in bed and I am sifting through all the clearance sales on brand alley which aren't that great.
Thank chemical chance for whoopsies! Last night I got a 1.4kg salmon fillet for just over a fiver. It's not 20p 10 tonnes bag of sausages or whatever but I love salmon and I now have a freezer full of fillets and me and OH had a delicious dinner with some reduced veg.
The drama with my team leader has gotten ridiculous, we're all waiting for her to be sacked. We're actually working fine without her organising our own work and hours! People messed around like this at every place of worked but I still always think the best of people, assuming that everyone is hard working and honest :rotfl:Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Well I called the AA and told them I was leaving, and he was going on about how the AA has the most memebers... blah blah... I told him to save the speil for someone who wanted to know, and unless he could offer me less then £69 to just cancel the account because money is all that matters. I got it for £68
No use changing my provider for gas and electric, seems that my provider is the cheapest and their new tarriff MIGHT save me £3 a year... so i'll just stick around with them for now.
It's been a productive morning, I even called sky about the fact that my internet has been down more then up today, and they tested the line, found nothing, but I suddenly got a signal! Haha!
Also done the food shopping list, finished the menu plan and just have to get on with the rest of the housework now!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Morning all!
Long time no post! Not certain what I've been doing really, but just haven't made it to the laptop a lot lately - could be because the girls have messed up their computers and keep pinching mine though! Plus I tend to use my phone for the internet a lot, but mse is a bit too texty to read on it!
Anyway, what a glorious sunny day here, so much nicer than the constant gloom that was yesterday. I just couldn't get going, but today I feel bright and chirpy!
I need to make some Hummingbird choc cupcakes for dd2, as they are her all time fave apparently, though I suspect it is the butter rich icing she actually likes best! Then I really must finish decluttering the cupboard of doom, otherwise known as my wardrobe, I've done the shelves, just the stuff on the floor under the hanging bit and the very top to go, when I say 'just' I am avoiding looking at it, as there is a LOT of stuff! Also want to have a poke about in the garden and think about veggies to plant out, actual garden needs a blitz, and shhh, don't tell anyone but I'm hoping to drag everyone out there to clear it sometime over the weekend!
Have just been reading the quince tree blog, and I'm going to stew down some courgettes as she has posted some rather lovely pics of a River Cottage recipe, also want to check what needs using up in the fridge, think I have some carrots that could do with becoming soup, which will please dd1, as carrot and barley is her fave, and she can have it for dinner tonight as the others are having sausages, and she is now veggie. Will need to get on and make some rolls to go with it too - have been using Hugh's multi purpose bread recipe from his veg book, and just throwing it in the bm to mix and then leaving it to prove a second time on a baking tray, 600g of flour makes a dozen good sized soft rolls.
Must get on with the washing too, thank heavens for all the machines, then I can make the most of the lovely weather and get some stuff out on the line, and at some point I shall be mopping out the utility and the kitchen, deep joy!
Right, guess I'd best get on with it all then, will pop back and catch up later with a cuppa, once I've got machines filled and pots bubbling! Have a good day all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

HH's thumblie jumblies...
I've credited these to HardupHester as it was she who brought them to our attention. If you click on her name on the 1st post today you will find a link to Hesters homepage (well worth a look) & the recipe is on there. Basically they are a condensed milk cookie  that you put a thumbprint in the top & fill with a topping of your choice nomnomnomnom hth
