hope I can join in here - morning all. Sun is trying to shine in Yorkshire on the only day this week I have to work all day - hurumphf!

Must get off my bum at help dd get dressed - she has started school last week and still asks every morning if she's wearing her uniform - and ds who insists he packed his school bag last night is now looking for clean PE kit and food tech ingredients.

Was hoping to order a new chicken run today but a speeding fine came in the post last night - could kick myself. Oh well no one to blame but m'sen!

Got the bread on already, made DS scrambled eggs and soldiers for breakfast, the washing is on too...

So this morning I have to cancel my AA membership, the renewal WITH discount is £102!!!!! The RAC without discount is £99.50, but £69 if I do it online... Um I wonder who'll cover me this year! What a rip off!

I also have to compare energy companies, I have been waiting until the last minute (mine goes up 1st Oct) but I have been waiting for all the energy companies to do the hike before looking.

I also have to fold and put away washing, make pizza dough in the bread machine for the first time, tidy the house and do the school run. DS has drum club (african drumming) after school and is very excited :)

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Morning everyone

Sun trying to break through broken cloud here this morning, have put a load on the line as no rain forecast. DH up and off to work but not at stupid early o'clock, so he brought me a cuppa in bed.

Dinners last night were quickies as DS1 had Rugby and DH a meeting. DS1 got a knock last night at training, thought he would have a black eye this morning, but it's more a small burn from a shirt, it's right under his eye, the eye is not bloodshot or bruised at all, so it will just take a few days to go. DH going away tonight, so will be quick dinner (for him) as he needs to eat before he goes, I'll probably feed the boys first and eat later once everyone else is sorted and I can get some peace!

WM on with another load, have a hot wash on with some white/light colours and my best tablecloth in, forgot that we'd spilt red wine, salmon, and strawberries on it Friday night whilst away, so hoping I'm going to be able to get it clean, not even sure I should be washing it at such a high temperature. Had a brief chat with DB last night, he goes on hols on Thursday evening - he always works so hard and such long hours, he's well ready for some r&r. DS2 will be making his fruit salad today at school, teacher had to postpone yesterday and they will be making it today, so fruit salad for dessert tonight.

Better get a move on and make myself presentable for work.

Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

    Morning all,

Ended up going out last night, but not for long, so feel fresh as a daisy, getting the later train to work however, as wednesdays are the worst for getting on the student train!

Didn't make the tandoori chicken last night ,so we'll have that tonight, need to pop another wash in the machine, and maybe start sorting the bedroom tonight, we'll see how i feel later!

OH should be working today, at some point, I'd love to be my own boss and get up when I want!

Have given myself £25 spending money till payday, I want some new books (cookery ones) like the 101 slow cooker one - can any one recommend it?

    Have a lovely day all

  • Good morning

well the sun is shining here so i may tackle the garden after this coffee, then I need to make a chilli for tonights tea and some shortbread and biscotti.

OH went scrumping on his way home from work (never thought he would get in to foraging this well!) and bought me a bag of crab apples so will be searching for some recipes to use them in.

hope everyone has a good day.

Damp here but a better day forecast so towels, bathmats and stuff in the WM. Up at silly oclock to keep visitor company before she drove off to Gloucester to work. We had a nice meal last night-she-brought a M&S spatchcock chicken which I cooked with wedges(19p from Morrisons) and roast mediterranean vegetables. Bought cheesecake for pudding with sliced figs on the side and a little glass of vino.;)

Back to bread and water next week.......

Tonight will be salad with warm lentils -visitor's choice-OH says eek! :rotfl:So will make sweet potato and pea curry as well and add some leftover chicken to DS's. There is cheesecake left....

I will have a nap this afternoon as I keep waking up in the night with a visitor in the house.

Well have a good day all.

Hugs to the Jackies and anyone else who needs one. Bless to all the kids back at school.

Dismal start here today as well, Knees are really painful because of the damp and chill :(
DS has gone off to college and today it's a long day for him because he will be there until 7pm.
Plan for today is to catch up on some crafting stuff, which will clear a bit more out of the cupboards.
Well I am off for another cuppa
    Have good days all x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
