Im interested to see wehther anyone has JTD on the eggs.

I have. Actually it was the Wispa egg. £6 at T compared with £2 at A so a £4 JTD.

Only get one though for the best bargain as buying 2 in T will give you the 2 for £8 price so will still give you a £4 JTD. If you must buy more than 1 at a time, split them and pay separately.

    no you dont hth

You can pricecheck your shopping from instore or online and get JTD.
For an online shop you need your order number and postcode instead of the numbers from the bottom of your receipt.

You don't get DTD on any overcharge on an online shop - this only applies instore.

Damn! Tried two stores today and neither had either fizz that's in the meal deal

I even made them check out the back - wonder if they'll get them in before it's finished...
  • the exact same thing happened to me....and the SA said that i chould have checked the barcode. She only refunded me and wouldnt even offer to sell me the item at the label price.

i didnt get the DTD and did not think of calling the HO- maybe i will email them. The SA that served me was also rude and she now give me the dirty look whenever i go into the store... :(

one good result of that incident was that i started tesco-ing after i found the tesco threads when googling for people with similar experience.
Go for it & Good luck:)

It's still early so correct me if I'm being stupid but does it actually make a difference whether you get them separately or not?

If you buy 2 separately you'll be paying £12 then getting £8 back.
If you buy them together you pay £8 then get £4 back.
The only reason you get more money back in the first example is because you paid more in the first place.
    Does that make sense?

Yes - you're quite right - apologies for the confusion.

In my head I knew there was a reason to buy them one at a time but this wasn't it.

In many branches they still had some signs up saying £6, reduced to £3 and if you bought one of those you would get it free after DTD (you paid £6 when you should have paid £3).

If you bought 2 though the 2 for £8 would kick in so you would only get DTD of £4 (you paid £8 when you should have paid £6) so buying them one at a time is better if you can find any signs that say £6 reduced to £3. This happened a lot last week but I imagine the signs have all been corrected now though.

Apologies if I have now added to the confusion!

^ Some people don't have an Asda near plus you can use a voucher i.e £5 off £40 spend in Tesco

Please someone tell me what JTD is, I have worked out that DTD is 'double the discount' but have tried to find out online:

    JTD stands for 8 thing(s):
    JTD: Job Task Data
    JTD: Joint Table of Distribution
    JTD: Joint Tables of Distribution
    JTD: Joint Tactical Data
    JTD: Joint Technology Demonstration
    JTD: Joint Test Director
    JTD: Joint theater distribution
    JTD: JT dispersion

    Then:

Acronym, Definition. JTD, Je T'Adore (French: I love you).

I don't think any of these seem likely for this site!
