  • Ahhh. I never look at those....will now.
But did find some out of date cakes in my local :rotfl:
  • Sorry its a bit late but just to report in and thanks for all messages re: price checker and jtd vouchers. I didn't know about these. On the 8th I got a 10 pound meal deal in my T. There was no marketing, it had all been taken away but there were still some items on the shelf. With one last pudding so I took the finest Monte wine with chicken Kiev things and a potato daupinoise and the berry sponge to checkout. Was surprised to see the meal deal kick in at 10 quid. Got home entered my receipt details online and got a jtd voucher for 4.54... brilliant! Asda was cheaper on the red wine and the potato dish. So I got dinner for 2 for with wine for 5.46.
On the same shop I had spare time so wandered the shelves looking for ood sel's. Found one dated 2011. I pod rotating speaker dock. Sel 22 and was then charged 30. Walked over to cs looking very puzzled. She checked it out and refunded me 16 pounds. Result as I wanted one of these anyway. She scribbled on my receipt overcharged 16. This happened to me before with the phones I found on previous post. I didn't want them so I returned them and got back the Sel price. This T's both times have been very helpful and have given me DTD without even asking for it. I just look surprised when they tell me about DTD. My other local extra store also gave DTD on something I found without me having to ask for it. Guess I'm lucky down here in p00le to have 2 very friendly Tesco that know their policies! Got some share time today.. might go see what I can find! I love this thread..

I love reading all these stories of DTD and would love to get a few myself, however, how on earth do you remember what the SEL was of each item on your list?

I check my receipt but rarely have any idea what the price was when I picked it up.

If you do a big shop then just enter your receipt details online with price checker. They do the work for you. You only get jtd this way not DTD but it still helps. I got 4.54 voucher today without having to check it all myself. I think I will be doing this after every shop from now on!

Can confirm that if you purchase the Valentine's £15 deal with the mixed green veg (must be in the designated meal deal chiller in your store) the deal will not kick in so DTD!

The green veg is not part of the deal according to the Ts website but was in the meal deal chiller in my store in one location, but not in the other.

I think previous posts mentioned getting it free but on my calculations I paid:

    Frixinet Cava - £9.49
    Green veg selection - £2.50
    Lamb Shank - £10
    Gu choc dessert - £3.29

    =£25.28/£10.28 o/c so = £20.56 back DTD.

    Meal therefore cost £4.72 :T:j:T

Still fantastic for a deal that includes £9.49 bubbly!

Unfortunately I put it through with my other groceries, which included some whoopsies, so I doubt I'll get the JTD on the cava but can't win em all!

    HTH

My local did not have mixed veg. only petite peas and spinach. any one tried with either peas or spinach not mixed veg
  • anyone know if this is still working today please? Not sure if i want to head out in the cold.. :(

I usually put everything on offer through on a seperate receipt, but still not managed to get any jtd
  • Tesco are selling large Cadbury Easter eggs at £6 or 2 for £8. But Asda are selling them for £2. I bought 2 wispa, a dairy milk and a twirl, sizes vary between 313g and 360g. Used my £5 off a £40 spend with it and put it in price checker. Got my jtd back. Somebody else did report Dairy milk with an incorrect SEL of £3 so if you find that, and get charged £6, you will also get DTD
I'm still on the hunt for this !
    Tiger
