DTD is double the difference. If they overcharge you they'll give you back twice the amount they overcharged by.
    JTD is just the difference

Please someone tell me what JTD is, I have worked out that DTD is 'double the discount' but have tried to find out online:

    JTD stands for 8 thing(s):
    JTD: Job Task Data
    JTD: Joint Table of Distribution
    JTD: Joint Tables of Distribution
    JTD: Joint Tactical Data
    JTD: Joint Technology Demonstration
    JTD: Joint Test Director
    JTD: Joint theater distribution
    JTD: JT dispersion

    Then:

Acronym, Definition. JTD, Je T'Adore (French: I love you).

I don't think any of these seem likely for this site!

Hehe I liked reading this.... it stands for Just the difference x

  • Hi, not been back on since my post on fri/sat but for those that asked, i did get JTD back on the large Easter eggs. I bought 2 for £8 and so got £4 back at tesco price checker.
The dairy milk Easter eggs, approx 350g, have been reported as a SEL of £3 in some stores.

  • I went to tesco and got a main (spicy beef pasta), side dish(8 pieces of garlic bread) and cheesecake. It didnt come up so i got DTD!
It was because the garlic bread isnt showing up in the offer but is on the shelf. this was at ches.....hunt shore:j

I'm new to all this mispricing malarky and on Saturday i had bought the same meal deal as you starframe18 and when home realised that is didn't come up as £6 on the receipt so went back to the store today.
We went to the chiller counter to show her what i had bought and the assistant said the garlic bread she thought was not in the offer and should have not been on that shelf(we bought the cheese garlic slices) so as a 'good will gesture' she gave me JTD back. Having had a look online the garlic bread is in the offer so should i have had DTD?
As i say never done this before so was happy for the £3 back but you live and learn.
P.S i'm liking this thread and will always check my receipts from now on.
  • Question for the really savvy mr t's shoppers:

Popped into mr t's yday for a quick shop, picked up a pack of those kleenex tissues in a brown 2 pack. The SEL below about 25 packs of these tissues said on offer down to £2. They scanned through at £3.62, so I went to customer services to complain..
The guy went to get the SEL and said they had run out of the kleenex tissues on offer so those were replaced with a similar product (the brown kleenex tissues), basically implying I was the one for making the mistake of not reading the SEL properly..
I argued my case saying there was 25+ packs of the incorrect tissues there, and directly below them was the sel of £2. I said they should have put a "sorry this item is out of stock" SEL, or replaced it all together with the correct price of the tissues that had replace the OOS ones.
He refunded my £1.62, but I just wondered whether I should have got double the difference for the inconvenience/way I was mislead? I said how many people would have seen ooo they are on offer, buy 3 packs, thinking they were £2 each, then end up getting overcharged £4.86 and not bothering to check receipts/challenge this.
This is very misleading to customers in a rush that havent got the time to look at every SEL and check every item gram for gram to make sure it is the right product above the SEL. I looked and saw "kleenex twinpack now £2" or similar below the product and assumed my kleenex tissues were included as there was no other SEL anywhere for their correct price.
I have seen TESCO do a similar thing with simple baby wipes, when they are cheaper than the tesco own brand wipes (on offer) they put a "sorry this item is out of stock" label over the reduced price SEL even when the item is clearly in stock. Has anyone else noticed this in their mr t's??
I have such a love hate relationship with tesco, hate it and the way they scam their customers but can't seem to keep myself away lol:o
TIA to anyone that can enlighten me,sorry its so long!!

^ I would ring or email HO , I've been caught like that before and saw something similar yesterday ( actually about 5 different items yesterday) It seems to me it's Tesco policy to try and rip customers off, seems it's to widespread to be 'accidental'.
    :(
