Hi everyone, just a quicky as I'm heading out soon. I was overcharged on 3 items and got Dtd. The thing is, they are now no use to me so what happens if I take them back? They are crossed out on the receipt as they were effectively cheaper with the Dtd. Would I get the full money back or would they just take them back and give no money. I'm very confused.

    TIA

Hi, the Valentine meal deal £15 started today, there is a JTD available of £3.99 if you buy the Prosecco.

If you are using a £40 spend MOC £5 then a good way to get some JTD back.

Also if you choose a GU pudding you can use the 50p MOC off the coupon thread. Valid until 1/03/2012

Not as good as the last meal deal tho

Officially you should get the original SEL back, but not the full purchase price - e.g. if SEL at £5, charged £12 for £14DTD you would only get £5 back.. The other £7 is compensation for the overcharge so you get to keep it.

However, most Tesco staff seem to think that a paid for DTD makes the item non-refundable. Although incorrect, it may mean you have to argue at CS or call Head Office.

I returned my dtd purchase to a different store & received the amount the SEL stated as I had already had double the difference. I went to a different store for a refund as I'm sure the old trout in cs in my local thinks allthese glitches come out of her own pocket (You know the face Bulldog chewing a wasp)

Grrrr - been had by my Tesco!!!
Bought some chicken mini fillets, 377g. SEL said £2.30, packaging said £3.59. Ha-ha I thought, I had DTD last time I spotted this. They were right next to slightly smaller packs labelled 3 for £10.

So I bought 3, sure enough, scanned at £3.59. Confidently went over to CS, she went off, brought the label back and told me the ones I'd bought had gone through correctly as the label says Healthy Living - mine weren't labelled Healthy Living. I tried to argue that there was no other label on the shelf, that the weight etc was the same so it was very misleading etc etc - but got nowher so had to accept a refund.

Now I have to go buy my chicken for dinner on sat somewhere else! But it's worth looking out for - I had DTD on exactly the same thing before Christmas, must depend on the member of staff at the time.
Maybe a quick email to head office time

for a few months people have been buying items hanging on clipstrips for 1p each... seemed there was a glitch on a lot of clipstrip items..

eg. vegetable crisps, Harry Hill's salted nuts, sweeteners etc etc.. but they are very far and few between now... but worth checking prices of clipstrips..
    HTH xx

Thanks for the explaination west is best. That does help. Put out of my torture now. :)

Still about the same amount of JTD tho at £3.99, although the meal deal is £15, EXCEPT Gu is 20p more in Asda, so £3.79 if you get that, but at least offset by the 50p off.

If you do use your £5 MOC, be careful not to lose your JTD by buying anything on offer that might be cheaper in Tesco!

Has anyone checked the sides or mains to see if they are jtd's?

Just checked the Freixenet is £9.49 in T's and £6 in A's
