Tesco misprices and discussion (Thread 12)

Went to Tesco Metro in Central London (Covent Garden), this lunch time.
They had a isle-end promotional box of Glades Candle, that was full of Glades Spiced Apple candles. The A4-sized yellow SEL had "Glades Candle / Was £4.00 / Now £2.00). The prices on this A4 paper were handwritten.
The Spiced Apple candle is actually scanning at £4.16. Upon scanning the 4 Spiced Apple candles, my bill came to £4.16 x 4 = £16.64, so I was overcharged by £2.16 per candle (£8.64 for 4).
Paid £16.64. Got DTD £17.28. Hence got paid £0.64 to take the four candles away!!
Another Small yellow SEL said Glades Glistening Snow candle £2.00, but they did not have any on display.
So I am guessing that the either the original price reduction was only on Glistening Snow candle, or this may work on both Glistening Snow and Spiced Apple, where in stock.0 -
Hi I was reading the terms and conditions and I was a
little confused. Can I spend £60 on fuel and receive
10p per litre off the next time I buy fuel?

I scanned it and it scanned at £100
quite disappointed, i wandered upstairs to price check some galaxy bars
and noticed a pile of r/c racing cars, by the same manufacturer, but not the same cars, with a big A4 price of £35 and the trusty red dot half price toy sale sticker on it. Having knocked several old ladies out the way to get to the scanner as quickly as possible, it scanned at £70. Whoooop. free with DTD. b/c ends 8132 and is a New Bright invader Radio controlled off road sports buggy. Both red and black designs work. If anyone can find the mud slinger trucks by the same people (bigger scale pickup truck or land rover), then theres a £30 DTD payout to take it away as the sel is £35 and scans at £100

Thank you OP....
I managed to pick one of cars today SEL said £70 sticker on it said £35 went through at £70..... Free Remote control car for my nephew for his birthday!!!!!! :T:T:T:T:T0 -

The meal deal wine is...
Tesco Finest Montepulciano D'Abruzzo 75cl ( red wine). If it's not in the meal deal section look in the wine section
£8.29 in Mr T's
£3.68 in A's
If it's this one, then I think T's have reduced their price to match?

Hard to tell, although that seems to be the only Montepulciano one coming up for T's on mysupermarket. Be worth checking on an instore price checker before buying.0 -

Still £8.29 in my tesco but shows as OOS on mysupermarket and compares with the ASDA Extra Special Montepulciano (750ml) for £5.00, so JTD of £3.290 -

I've just spotted this on Tesco.com and it could be an interesting one - and if anyone posts this elsewhere else don't forgot to credit the source:
Maschio Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry 75Cl
Special Offer Half Price Was £1.99 Now 99p
valid from tomorrow (31/1/2012) until 7/2/2012
The proper staring price is £11.99, so one way or another an SEL for 99p will mean an amazing deal.
