I was looking to buy a Radio Controlled Mud Slinger car for my son (more for me really, but shhhh!) and when i arrived at Mr T in H0r$4am i noticed that the £35 sel had gone and the half price toy sale red dot sticker had been roughly ripped off. I scanned it and it scanned at £100 :( quite disappointed, i wandered upstairs to price check some galaxy bars ;) and noticed a pile of r/c racing cars, by the same manufacturer, but not the same cars, with a big A4 price of £35 and the trusty red dot half price toy sale sticker on it. Having knocked several old ladies out the way to get to the scanner as quickly as possible, it scanned at £70. Whoooop. free with DTD. b/c ends 8132 and is a New Bright invader Radio controlled off road sports buggy. Both red and black designs work. If anyone can find the mud slinger trucks by the same people (bigger scale pickup truck or land rover), then theres a £30 DTD payout to take it away as the sel is £35 and scans at £100 :)

Don't loose heart just yet ... sometimes the PChecker doesn't price match an item even if A stocks it.

I got 2 of the meal deals tonight (would have got 4 but only had 2 bottles of the wine) and then bulked out my shopping to use a £5 off £40 coupon with stuff I knew couldn't be matched (digital scales, 2 casserole dishes and an egg poacher). I'll keep these a week or so and then return the scales and dishes. I've just worked out that by doing this my meal deal will work out at £4.10 each. :T

Thanks but unfortunatly my reduced baby food was more expensive in asda so made my total check result cheaper in Tesco. So I paid £10 for my meal deal . Wish I'd have known that it goes on your total bill, not each item individually which I thought. Will write that one off and know to put these things through seperatley next time.

Hi Hun - what you can do is keep your tesco receipts and check them on their online price checker..... you have to put your email address in and all the numbers on the bottom of the receipt (like date, time....also includes the store number and till number and things like that) they then check the price of your shopping against asda's current prices and if Asda would have been cheaper then the email you a voucher to print off for the difference so your shopping would have cost the same

Here's a link to the price checker......

    Hope that helps hun x
can this be done evrytime you do the weekly shop at Mr t'S THEN? MUST ADMIT i never even used to check the receipts :( but will do from now:money:Nik.....

Yep every receipt - if you look at some of the other posts about JTD they will show you what is good to get for it to work - sometimes you're better off separating your shopping and paying for certain things separately to get the best deal ....... good luck x x x

thank you so much lookingforabargain for the absolutely gorgeous wee girls clothes you sent me for the orphans in Bulgaria. They are beautiful!

Hi, do you have any addresses for these places? I know a lot of people who would / can help by sending stuff. Thanks

    ((sorry - I know it's not a relevant post))

Meal deal JTD voucher in £9.87. Three meal deals cost £30.00 and I got 3 small bottles of blossom hill white zinf for £5.00 they are £2.29 each but on 3 for £5 offer.
There was an extra £1.59 discount as I purchased 6 bottles in total.
    £35.00 - £9.87 - £1.59 = £23.54
That was first attempt this time, has anyone else got any other ways to maximise the offer.
Still think that as its a meal deal Jtd it could be a grabbit by itself.

My first post... Please be gentle! Been lurking for a little while so thought now I'm on maternity leave I'll finally have time to give something back.

Thanks to DPhoenixUK for the tip off on this one. Lots at Reading extra but think the labels were removed. Cheeky cs staff were only offering jtd until I pointed out their dtd policy. Free car for me!

Also saw something else which was a laser guided remote control car (no idea what make or barcode). It had an sel of £21.97 but scanned at £39.97. I had picked up one but when I went back to see if I could get another the sel had been removed. Obviously I couldn't get any dtd with no sel but thought this might help someone else at another store.

Might have been Lazer Stunt Chaser cars (kid's remote controlled cars). I picked up two earlier with a sel of £19.50 and was charged £39.97 each. DTD worked out at just over £80. Link to them on T's website - http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.211-3727.aspx

    Part of the Furniture
Can anyone help me with this.. I seem to remember reading that you can't claim a JTD if you bought stuff at an Express store. Is that right?

    TIA :-)
