hi all was in mr T's express store in March, and the girl in front of me had got a ty toy when lady scanned it, it came up at 18 pence..... girl said 18p and went off to get some more:j, SEL was £4 odd and lady at till just scanned and off she went happy as a pig in poo!!!! Sorry no barcodes or pics but they have got big bug eyes, think there was an elephant, dog?, tiger type thing and another. HTH

Just scanned in my local express store at £2.08 :(
    :(
  • My first bargain hunt to Tesco tonight on a mission... 1 hour b4 they closed.. Empty Andrew clips but did get some pureety gourmet marinade from a clip strip. Sel was 19p and they scanned at 19p. All other flavors were 79p. I got tangy tomato black pepper & thyme. Got 3 ambi pur Japan things at 1.27. Checked out the dab radio and phones but no luck.....
However I did notice a talk talk double phone set advertised on a yellow Sel at 44.99. The full price that was crossed out was 59.99 but the date said it ended on 25/12. I scanned this at the price check point in the clothes section and they scanned at the higher price. As a newbie to this I assume this would have been a DTD of 30quid if I had bought it. I didn't want phones but I assume you can return them as unwanted a couple of days later if you really wanted to? ? Any help on that? I was just a bit nervous to spend 60 then save 30 but end up with 2 phones that I don't need.. any advice?
Also got loads of bargains reduced to a few pence seeing ad it was so late, cooked chickens, veggies, flowers and cream.
Quite chuffed with my bargain hunt. Didn't mind buying that extra bottle of wine in the end he he.. x will be on the hunt for out of date yellow Sel next time I go..
  • Sorry guys, I've not looked at this thread for a few years and despite reading several pages am still struggling with the terminology and discussion.

Can I ask what a clip strip is? How you find these deals? And is there a simple guide?

    Cheers,

    Dave

Wizzed into Mr T's last night before they closed, as I still had some coupons to use by 31st dec.......Bought lots of 19p double cream. One must have scanned at full price and the £10 meal deal didn't work properly. Grrrrrr

Spent ages at CS sorting the bill out! Got DTD on the cream and refund of difference on Meal Deal. (Couldn't be bothered arguing for DTD as it could poss have been my fault if I had picked up the wrong items! And I wanted to go home!). Also got refund on coupon that was not accepted by the till......... £14 altogether!

Think how many people do not check their receipts!

I will be spending today making butter from my 'free' cream. :rotfl:

    Happy New Year :)
