The small individual pkts or are there bigger tubes?
The tubes that are the same as a standard roll of fruit pastilles, if that makes sense?

    Sorry, don't quite understand.
Do you mean these sweets are available in the store called 'Home Bargains'?
Not sure as I thought this was a Tesco thread? Personally do not have a H&B store anywhere near - sadly!:o
  • Why are HO so inconsistant with the amount of vouchers they give out? I tried to buy the OEP dinner kits and they went through at full price. I went to CS and she went and checked......I waited 10 mins and then a manager came back with her and said they weren't on. I said the label clearly states Dinner Kits so asked him to advise me on what dinner kits are currently on the offer - he tried to be a smart !!!!! and say the taco shells were a dinner kit. I advised him they were not as there is a seperate taco kit......he wasn't budging and as I had a screaming 1yo and was running late to pick up my 5yo from school I just took a full refund and left. As soon as I got home I phoned head office, complained about the manager who's attitude was terrible - rude and dismissive, and also about the misleading labels. The guy from HO was fine on the phone and said he had received a couple of calls about the same thing. He said he would send out a £6 gift card and pass on my complaint. The store manager then called me, agreed the label was mis-leading and said she would speak to the manager about his attitude. How come I got a £6 voucher, some people get £10, some £15.......does it depend on who you get, or do you have to argue and complain a bit more?

Isn't it sad that you are having to ask this question?
It does seem to be that if you are quiet and courteous they seem to think they can 'outmanoevre' you but if you are a bit bolshy you get more.
My experience of Tesco of late is their staff are great but their management sucks, big time.
I wonder if they are actually the ones that are in dire need of retraining.
I did say to the stroppy lady I had to deal with yesterday that if you choose to be in a customer facing position then you need to have a certain set of skills that she, certainly, lacked.
The CS staff were good. Apologetic about the error and the delay it caused because of this policy of a manager having to be involved for every query.
When I asked her 'why' she said she thought the management did not believe staff were competent to deal with problems!!
I said it was my experience that staff were fine, it was management that wasn't! She smiled.:)

Yes, a 4 pack of Love Hearts can be bought in Home Bargains for 49p.

I'm aware that this is the Tesco thread and obviously wouldn't have posted this particular HB deal (or any other for that matter) here unless it was relevant.

You posted the "bargain" of 4 tubes/rolls for £1 - I merely pointed out that 4 "tubes" in a pack for 49p were mentioned to be available elsewhere by another MSE member on another thread.

Where in "Middle England" are you ?

Yes it really DOES depend on who you get on the phone when you call CS. With the Finest Meal Deal which was not scanning correctly, the first person I called suggested for me to go all the way back to a store far away for me and bring all barcodes from packaging with me  because only the store could reimburse me. The second person I called was much more practical and understanding, we worked out what I was owed and they sent me a £20+ giftcard with a letter of apology for the inconvenience ;). So sometimes it is worth making more than one call :D.
