Tesco misprices and discussion (Thread 12)

Hi, recently contacted Head Office as on several occasions I haven't been offered double the difference, and have never received one. I was assured my local store offered this and staff would be notified. Yesterday was overpriced and went to the service desk, after much arguing and having to ask for the DTD was I eventually awarded it. As I stood at the counter I tried to find the DTD price policy but couldn't, there were several notices up on the wall all about price promises and guarantees. Where should the shop display this? Shouldn't Trading Standards or whoever make Tesco display this policy throughout the store so customers are aware of it. Surely it should at least be clearly displayed on the Service Counter desk. No doubt if I'd asked they would've showed me a thee line notice hidden at the foot of the wall behind the desk!! I was very embarrassed having to ask for the DTD as it made me feel guilty as if I had bought the item on purpose just to get a DTD. Afterwards I price checked something downstairs in the sale which didn't have a price on it and an Assistant gave me a funny look and made a comment to an other Assistant about me 'knowing all the prices'!! Surely if they offer the DTD policy they should honour it and not make their customers feel like criminals!!0

I'm not going to quote any particular person's posts but remind people again that this is the TESCO MISPRICE AND DISCUSSION THREAD 12.
Stop waffleing about what people are getting and doing with their finds and moaning about them. I sell a lot of the items I get to friends and family but anything that is surplus may end up on Ebay. They then get it cheaper than they perhaps would have done from elsewhere. It's nobody else's business what I do with what I get so get on with finding stuff but remember to help others by reporting finds. Remembering of course to give as much info as possible to help find them.
Just posting thing like "I got one too for £20" is not very helpful.
Please keep on topic as much as possible!life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -

£6.00 seems unusually expensive to me!
Anyone shed any light? :money:I think it's often the other way round.
Ie they put the price up for a minimum number of days - 28 from memory.
Then they bring out the pack that says 'half price' which sells like hot cakes.
OK this is BOGOF so not quite the same situation.
That's right, they will soon be marked at £3 half price in the run up to xmas!0 -

I was in a store that had very recently had a refit and the blue board at CS was half the size and didn't have the price promise.
Hope it's not a sign that it's on it's way out.
If news reports are correct that Tesco will focus more on all round low prices than BOGOFs and half price offers, it will probably mean very few DTDs anyway as it's these that make it worthwhile0 -
just a heads up......when i went last night, i commented to the check out lady (to distract her from the barbie toys i was buying!) about how easy it is to overspend on toys.....she then told me that Monday will be manic as they are starting a massive pre-xmas sale on everything, not just toys!!! Not sure if this is store specific (this was Bee*ton, Not*ingh*m)....but worth popping in Monday to see if theres any deals or misprices!hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0

Went looking for possible BOGOF glitches and found nothing yesterday. I could do with stocking up on Tesco cos once they stop the double the clubcard points I won't be shopping there as much. It was bad enough that they reduced the exchange rate for 4x to 3x but now your only going to get 1 measly point for every pound spent so shopping at Tesco wont be as rewarding (clubcard rewarding I mean).
Although I read that they will be upping the reward exchange value from 3x to 4x for some rewards but not sure when.0 -
