I've really enjoyed posting my amounts spent each day, even thoguh I'm not actually giving myself a budget yet. The reason for this is becasuse I haven't worked out my SOA as yet, so I'm just aiming for as little as possible until I get my SOA prepared. Hope that's ok, this thread has been a real help in reducing spending for me!
Today's spend was £11.28 - groceries in Asda (I haven't got a grocery budget sorted either so I'm just listing everything I spend here for now, too.

Hi all
I'm just starting to get my head back together having been away for Christmas.
Last week I joined Slimming World and I tackled the shopping at Morrisons on Saturday. *shuddering smilie*
So, with plenty in the cupboards and freezer, I should not need to grocery shop much more this week, :rotfl:
I will set myself a target of £20 this week.
Good luck everyone.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Last week's target = £60.
Overall spend for this week = £58.72.:o
Result: within budget (just!!) but I was really surprised...and not in a good way!...because I thought I would spend a lot less than that. I guess it just goes to show what dribbles out when I am not keeping a close eye on things!!
Next week's budget: £55 (baby steps!:p)

Hey LIH
Hope you are resting and your tummy is better by the time you read this. Please ask your GP to come over if things don't improve tomorrow. I know that's not what you want to do but they may be able to help.
Lots of hugs and get well wishes xxxLeason learnt :beer:0 -
Hi, Last week I gave myself £15 and spent a grand total of £5.40.
This week I'm brassic till DH get paid next Friday so I've just got whats in my purse which is £3.95. I may have to raid the piggy bank if DD wants to go swimming at the end of the week but I'll see how we goSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.
The reason the challenge is up to Friday is that I like to give myself a day off the counting and let my hair down a bit
Have a great week everyone!!!Leason learnt :beer:0 -
Better Late than never

My budget for the Sunday to Friday challenge was £80 to include groceries.
My actual spend was £25.37 (including my energy/power monitor from Tchibo)
Wow, quite pleased with this! If it hadn't been for Moozies challenges and recording on here I wouldn't have had a clue as to what I'd spent.
I'm going to see if I can 'adapt' my sig so it includes the Sun-fri challenge again as it helps so much.
Challenge for this week is £80 again - but as it's nearly over I know I might be over as I've had to order towels to do my treatments.... or can it come out of what I was under last week ????
Kaz xJanuary '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far

I will try to work it out.
