Hi all
My budget last week was £20 (spent £12) which was for personal spending and household bits and pieces. Going to do it slightly differently this week and have an overall budget covering all spending except bills, debts and DDs - will set that at £40 and see how we go.
Should be a NSD today.0 -
A NSD for me today!!!! Mind you, staying in my pjs all day and not going out helps!!!
Going to attempt £10 for my moozies challenge, as apart from childrens clubs and magazines, i shouldnt have to buy anything other than groceries this week.0 -
Hi everyone: wave:
Today I have spent £72 on online grocery and food shopping at Mr T's !
However, it is not as bad as it sounds as I'll get at least 2-3 months of meals out of it all including lunches for work by batch cooking and freezing stuff. Also filled the storecupboard to the gunnells!:T
Also saved petrol money this coming week as car is out of action  so bus pass for me tomorrow (17.50)!

NSD for me today

Haven't done this weekly challenge thing before, not sure how much to set as my target. I think I will exclude petrol because otherwise I'll fill up less if I've overspent
:rotfl: I now have a season ticket for the criminally expensive bridge toll  , costs me £87 a month  but then I can cross as much as I like, so not on my spending diary any more!
I will probably go to the cinema on wednesday (orange wednesdays
) but not sure about any other plans. I think I will set myself a target of £15 but hope to come in well under that if I don't go anywhere except the cinema!

Good afternoon lovely DFWs

Thank you very much LA for taking care of the thread and challenge  I have been fly-ladying (new word! :rotfl: ) I have cleaned and polished my sink beyond recognition! Before that I cooked a lovely breakfast for me and OH and then emptied and wasjed the fridge freezer, the slelves etc. Only found a salad dressing that was out of date by 6 months - would have chucked tonnes more prior to MSE :money:
I am now taking a well earned break while the OH is putting staff in the loft - preparing to decorate the bedroom
Then I'll be cooking dinner....non stop today
Anyway, the link to last week's thread is very handy but I am all for naming and shaming :rotfl: so here we go....

Hey vixtress
I am lost, sorry
You had budgeted £25 for extras last week - did you go over that?
You reminded me I need some CLO - must get some if it's on offer! Thank you

Hello everyone, my target for last week was £40 and i'm ashamed to say that i spent £103 . To be honest that was with a couple of nights out plus a top up, travel etc.
Today is a NSD for me as it's the second day that i've quit smoking :T, so far so good so i'm hoping that i can stick to it, i'll be saving £100 a month, that's madness to spend on cigarettes and for that and my health i'm determined to stop.
My weekly target shall be £40, which should now be easily achievable.0 -

Babes I am really happy you decided to quit smoking! Cigs feature very much on your daily spends (as you know) and as you say, bad for your health too!
Good luck with successfully giving up for good!
PS Note I am not commenting on the overspent under the circumstances :cool:Leason learnt :beer:0 -

Thanks Moozie.
Whilst writing my daily spends i was honestly ashamed to put that i spent that money on cigarettes each day, it definitely took up most of my weekly budget.
More determined than ever now to stick to it :cool:0 -

Hello? You have staff? Is that strictly MSE? And you keep them in the loft????? I've read about people like you! I can only hope they use Stardrops! :rotfl:
Not done the challenge for a while as things have been somewhat hectic. And I won't be able to do the usual Asda shop for a couple of weeks either.
Tempted as I am to set my weekly budget at £500 (and therefore being certain of coming in well under estimate) I'm going to set myself £50. I know - a hell of a lot for a single person but my week's looking very busy and any spare moments will be with head stuck in a book (where it's been for most of the day until I surfaced for this late lunch break!). Exams are too soon and I've got other things to attend to at the moment so it'll be a healthy diet of ready meals and shop bought lunches for me for the next week and a half.
I'm come back fatter, unhealthier and poorer, but hopefully with exam passes.
Have a good week all! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
